Conner/Meade County Predictions

Senior night for the Cougars. What are your thoughts on this matchup? What does Meade County have coming back this year? I know last year they had some pretty good talent.

Meade lost 15 seniors off last years team. We are a young team with seven seniors this year. We start some sophmores and 2 freshman. Take away the freshmen that dress we only have 33-34 players. Looking at Conners stats it is according to which Meade team that shows up Friday. Meade is very tough against the run and their pass defense is finally comming around. Meade had 6 ints. against North Hardin and UK signee Larod King last Friday. It's our offense that takes a while to get going. We are averaging 13 points a game and even that statistic is questionable because we scored 42 on Nelson County.

If Meade can keep the score low I think they win. If Conner scores over 21 I beleive Conner has the better chance.

Special teams and turnovers will also play a big part in this game.

With it being senior night and the game being played in Hebron, I think the Cougars get the W. Their passing attack might be a little too much for MC.

It will be tough for Meade's secondary to keep "Scooter" Englemon in check. I expect him to have another big night

With the playoffs being set, why wouldn't Conner treat this a tune-up game?

 

Try new things and keep people healthy, unlike the last worthless game they played (see Dixie)
