As a kid then into my teenage years, my favorites were:

Steve Martin, Bob Newhart, Bill Cosby & Robin Williams. Then came Eddie Murphy, George Carlin, Richard Pryor and others. Over the last few years, Dave Chappelle has to be one of my favorites.

Richard Pryor, George Carlin, and Eddie Murphy

Mike Birbiglia

Daniel Tosh

Dave Attell

Dave Chappelle

Greg Giraldo

Ted Alexandro

Ron White

Rodney Carrington

Those are a few of my favorites.

All these guys are great. Ron White's becoming alittle stale fr me though.

Maybe my favorite of all was college professor named Tom Lehrer. He was doing social consciousness stuff (as well as just plain goofy stuff) back in the early fifties, accompanied himself on the piano. "The Old Dope Peddler", "The Masochism Tango", "Poisoning Pigeons in the Park", "Be Prepared", "Oedipus Rex", "Lobachevsky", and the immortal "I Hold Your Hand in Mine" - what memories. Those who have heard know of what I speak.

The nicest present I received was a gift certificate, good at any hospital, for a lobotomy...

...how thoughtful....

1.Redd Foxx

2.Eddie Murphy

3.Ron White

4.Lenny Bruce

Did Lenny Bruce do stand up?

I've laughed harder at Ron White than anyone. I enjoyed Cosby and Eddie Murphy. But probably Richard Pryor has to be my all time fave. He brought out the race card and made humor about it. A subject that was for all purposes taboo was his bread and butter. Takes a special talent to pull that off.

Robin Williams is the funniest human being I've ever seen ...

Did Lenny Bruce do stand up?
Yes but usually while he was sitting on a stool .

Richard Pryor and Eddie Murphy.

Dane Cook is really funny.

Not only is he the most overrated comedian of all time, he's up there with most overrated celebrity. Honorable Mentions: Jack Black, Miley Cyrus, and David Beckham.

:eek:Take it back.
I was a big Bernie Mac fan. Pretty much liked the whole kings of comedy crew. Like Chappell, Katt Williams, Eddie Griffin, Mike Epps, John Witherspoon (maybe my favorite) and Ralphie May was good when I saw him at the Funny Bone.

I really like Rodney Carrington and Jeff Dunham too.

No.1 in my opinion

Also like the Cable guy.
