Is it unsual that a man with extensive experience in the foreign relations of that area of the world refers to the people there by their correct name, as if he may have been there or something? :lol:

Would have been more convincing if he'd got it right. :devil:

I had no problem with that. I think the debates are way too formal though.

Dick Morris watched the entire debate and declared Palin the clear cut winner. Last week, Morris quickly declared Obama the winner. IMO, Morris is the best at what he does in his business. I suspect that Morris is pretty conservative but when he provides political analysis, he is as objective as anybody on the air.

 

Good point. I watch Morris regularly and have read several of his books. He does trend toward the conservative side but he won't hesitate to admit it when conservatives come up short whether the discussion is about elections, issues, debates, etc.

My mom is a Republican, who admittedly doesn't pay enough attention to the issues as my Dad and I would like her to. However, going into the debate she was talking about how overwhelmed Palin has seemed.

Throughout the course of the debate, she kept saying she was just waiting for her to slip up. Well it didn't happen. Afterwards, she said she didn't think she did a great job, but she now feels comfortable casting her vote for McCain.

 

On a side note, how in the world do you adjust the principle on a home mortgage loan? Biden made a comment about that being part of their platform, and it left me thoroughly confused...

Colmes made the mistake tonight of questioning Morris' objectivity. Morris reminded Colmes that he had declared Obama the winner last week and then launched a series of blistering insults toward Colmes. If you missed the exchange, I am sure that it will be available on youtube.com soon.

It makes me scared for our country when a bunch of you on here, allow for hatred to dissuade your opinion as to whether or not "said" candidate performed well in this format.

I saw the entire exchange. Like you, it's the first time I've seen other than playful ire between those two.
