I agree. The American people have soundly rejected governance by "the guy you would like to sit down and have a beer with". Sarah Palin is a female version of George W. Bush--intellectually inadequate, charismatic, and excessively moralistic.

Clinton's dalliance(s) were bone-headed (pun intended), but he was a pragmatic, effective president. I'm always leary of politicians who make self-righteousness a major part of their campaign pitch. Sorry, but first and foremost I want competence in my leaders. When I want to hear a sermon, I go to church.

Are the days of expecting competence AND moral character behind us?

 

Clinton was worse than merely a bone head IMO. I am hardly one who can afford to cast the first stone, but I do expect more out of my nation's highest leader in terms of morals than Mr. Clinton delivered.

 

FWIW, if I only went to church when I "wanted" to hear a sermon, instead of when I "needed" to hear a sermon, I don't know that I'd ever be found there. :thumb:
