I've been saying for several years on this site that I'm all for tossing out the current crop of power hungry Washington politicians. Like her or not, Palin is the closest thing to a "Mr. Smith goes to Washington" that we have in this election. She is definitely not another Dan Quayle.

 

As crazy as it may sound, I think we'd be a lot better off with about 500 Palins going to Washington to replace the Pelosis, Franks, Schumers, Reids, Murthas, Bidens, Obamas, Byrds, Rangels, Waters, Kerrys and for that matter all the ego and power driven Republican Pork-Barrel pimps spending our money for more bling than we would buy ourselves with the money we've earned.

 

It's definitely time for change, but not just the kind we can believe in... but change that is meaningful and real.

If I follow your interpretation of Mr. Will, and I have no doubt that he would make such a statement, perhaps even he is too jaded by the Washington elite concept of who is and who is not acceptable.

 

The key difference with Palin that many do find refreshing is that unlike John Kerry's staged photo ops hunting, wind surfing and tossing a football on the tarmack, with clever (but totally out of character) asides such as, "Where kin I get me a huntin' license" or Hillary doing a shot of whiskey in front of TV cameras... Palin really is a soccer mom married to Joe Sixpack. She's not replicating anything she ain't. :lol:

 

Win, lose or draw... the fact that she has so many "experts" shaken is fantastic. I wish we had more like her. You can't convince me that political novices with common sense and a desire to simplify a ridiculously top heavy government could possibly screw things up any worse than the so-called professionals we've had in Washington for decades. :thumb:

Before the debate, those same undecided voters were leaning 56 percent to 44 percent for McCain. The day after the debate, the numbers tilted 52 percent to 48 percent for Illinois Sen. Barack Obama.

 

That's pretty significant.

I agree. The American people have soundly rejected governance by "the guy you would like to sit down and have a beer with". Sarah Palin is a female version of George W. Bush--intellectually inadequate, charismatic, and excessively moralistic.
