Oh come on!! It wasn't only Biden who was using that "one" excuse "experience" it was everyone and McCain is still using it because he's the last one standing.

 

 

Obama might not be good for you, but that's why we vote. Personally, I feel that I will be better of with Obama as President. I am not upper class, I use to say middle, but in my opinion there is no longer a middle class. Main St. is what Obama calls it. Should I have to file bankruptcy because I had to have some medical procedures done? No, I don't believe I shoud, nor should anyone else. Guess what though, it's happening everyday in this Country. What I like about Obama is he is for all of America, not just the wealthy. McCain has never once spoked to me when addressing anything. All I know of him is he's a Vet, POW, likes to call himself a mavrick, owns seven or eight houses and apparently likes war. I often wonder why he hasn't ran for President until now? So, when anyone want's to ask, what's so good about Obama? When I hear him, I feel he's talking to folks like myself. When McCain speaks, he only talks about himself.

I watched a bit of the debate again and read through the transcript, and I remain utterly and hopelessly unimpressed with Palin. There was hardly a difference between her debate performance and the Couric interview. What was the difference, everyone thought she did well? Instead of muddling through answers and pretending like she had any relevant knowledge as she did with Couric, when Palin was faced with a question she didn't know or could speak intelligently about (and there were embarrassingly plenty) she immediately answered a question that wasn't asked, but one she had an answer for. Exceeds expectations? Yes. Has the knowledge or understanding I expect of someone on a national ticket? No. In other words, her debate performance affirms her vacuous interviews with Gibson and Couric - she's clueless.

Yeah, they both hit talking points, which is why this type of debate is so meaningless. But, Biden did directly answer more questions. Palin entirely ignored at least two, and changed the subject without eliciting an answer in several others.

Biden is a very good liar except for the fact that he leaves himself no wiggle room and lieas about things whose veracity can easily be checked.

 

For example, Obama did say that he would sit down with the leaders of countries such as Cuba, North Korea, and Iran with no preconditions and Biden did say that he opposes new clean coal-fired power plants being built in this country. These statements were not taken out of context as he claimed and videos have been posted here and elsewhere proving that he lied about these issues and several others. Biden's statements cannot be attributed to "misspeaking" and they are part of a career long pattern of just making things up when the truth is inconvenient.

Question: Did you feel the same way in '80 with George Bush? He had called Reagan's economic policies, "Vodoo Economics." He had before then been Pro-Choice. Did that invalidate the Reagan ticket for you that year? Would it have if you aren't old enough to have voted then?

 

Historically speaking that smacks of "It's okay if it's a Republican changing face to help the ticket but not a Democrat."
