He didn't try. He would have been criticized for correcting her on the name anyhow. If he did know the name he probably made a good move by not condescending.

If he had remembered the name he would have used it. He was wise to not just make a name up, which is would not have been uncharacteristic for Biden.

I don't believe either was impressive, but Palin even being in this debate is commical and very very scary. Not sure what to laugh harder about, watching her, or anyone who can actually say she won at all, little loan convincingly.

You can find polls that say Palin won, and you can find ones that said Biden won. You've made no secret that you are an Obama supporter, so hearing one say that Palin was a joke is definitely a biased opinion.

Is would be the better word. She may be a great person and all those things, but her possibly being the President of the United States isn't funny at all.

Props, though, to Biden and Obama for realizing the Ayatollah has the keys to the car in Iran. Ahmadinejad is up for re-election soon too, and conservatives haven't fared well there lately. Elections are usually good times to push for diplomacy. I think Obama/Biden are right on this one.

It really is mind boggling.

From an ANTI-OBAMA Democrat my feelings on the debate were:

 

1. Gwen, the moderator was awful never let her do anything like this again.

2. Both candidates made mishaps throughout the debate, so I'm not going to go there.

3. Biden got his teeth whitened.

4. Palin got some new highlights.

5. Characterized, say it slowly next time Biden.

6. Palin was real nervous coming out, she was breathing heaving and you could see her chest raise and her throat swell with every swallow during the first 10 minutes.

7. Biden, continued to smile, at who and why?

8. MEMO to BOTH VP candidates. Quit slinging out Obama.McCain voted for this bill, whaddya whaddya whaddya, no one cares because they voted for the majority of these issues under much different circumstances than we are facing currently and we just want to know what they will vote for in the future, not the past because they have ALL voted to contradict themselves more than once.

9. I give the edge to Palin because I like her straigh forward approach, I feel like she is a real person and would serve our country and not corrupt it like so many others have., JMO. I get that down to earth feeling from her.

When you have your mind made up before the debate began, as many of you on the left did, that's the only conclusion you'll come to.

Everyone talks about the straight talk Palin does. I am a little confused she has yet to answer a question. She even admitted in the debate that she wasn't going to answer question.

 

I do applaude her for playing the role of pretty little down to earth mom. SHe used a lot of words that relate well to kids. Dog-gone-it. That was classic, made a lot of people feel like she was one of us.

 

As for Biden, I wished he would have went on the attack. But that would have hurt his ticket.

 

IMO Palin is still doesn't have a clue.
