Only when a team forfeits would there be a score of 1-0 lol. That happened with

Corbin vs. Bethlehem when Bethlehem forfeited anyone know the story behind their forfeiture?

Has nothing to do with a 1-0 forfeit by why, he predicted 35-1 and still, not a logical reply.

I'll take Cov Cath in a close game 14-12.

Well, I will say this... the expectations for CCH are not very high for this game. Perhaps the pressure will be off a bit and they will play looser than the 'Birds, who seem to carry a bit more weight of pressure for the game (being the top-ranked team in NKY and in Class 5A right now).

 

For those BGP'ers reading this thread who are not well-versed in the history of this rivalry, please know that on numerous occasions the team predicted to win did not win the game. Also, I remember that many were predicting a big blowout for the regular season game last year, and the outcome (28-14 HHS) was FAR from a blowout (now, the playoff game was a different story).

With the way Cov Cath played Dixie and showed no defense and with the way the birds played Dixie-I'll take the bird's to win 42-7!

I'm looking forward to the Austin Collinsworth v. Pat Van Sant match up. If PVS truly is a POY candidate, this will need to be his "step up" game. Other interesting matchups will be HHS D-line v. the "mighty" CCH O-line. We'll see if the CCH O-line is "all that and a bag chips"! I don't see a blow out in this one...CCH has nothing to lose.

2 things. CovCath's offense, when Brossart lets up off the reigns and lets Isler air it out, is very legit. When Isler is on, he is a big kid w/ nice touch. Robinson and Van Sant are very good athletes who get a lot of yards after the catch.

 

#2. Their run defense is horrible. Unless that's been remedied, and I don't believe that it has, Guigugli will need to throw all of 10 passes this game. I predict that Highlands will have 300 yards rushing. Guidugli will complete 6 passes for about 150, as CovCath will be bringing extra men into the box to help stop the run.

HHS didn't sit on the ball last year. CCH did. I was amazed when the Colonels started running clock in the 3rd quarter.

I just wonder if Coach Brossart understands that (meaning the Team from Ft. Thomas game) is how he and his team will be judged for the year? It doesn't matter if he goes undefeated against the rest of NKy or if he even beats Cin Elder, or Lou St. X, the season in the eye's of the faithful is a success, only if you beat The Team from Ft. Thomas!

 

Now understand, some years you know you just don't have a chance to win (this isn't one of those years) but at least you need to make a good showing in those years.
