He did everything he could out there, but his team wasn't too much help and our defense by and large was all over him all night. Considering some of the hits he took I was impressed he made it through most of the game.

X has never really been an offensive juggernaut. They've always won with D. I'm not sure why that is.

So will the Rocks be cocky now against the other X program....?(Huge win. Impressive performance. Beatty seemed to be at his best).

 

Homerun, are you serious? If nothing else, last night's win will make the Rocks more determined and respectful of the upcoming job in 2 weeks. Like the Nike slogan, "Just Do It".

I believe X's other QB played only the last series.

Congrats Rocks. This no so surprise to me. The Trinity gameplan was perfect. Like I said in a earlier post this is the best Trinity defense in at least 20 years. This team will be hard to beat.

 

I saw one of your favorite X men hanging with his teammates last night....their defense is quite nasty as well....

I believe that I speak for most, if not all, Trinity fans in saying that it's a terrible circumstance that the X QB was injured, and that we wish him a speedy recovery!

 

I, unlike PepRock, feel that Trinity's O, while possibly needing some work, was not at all underwhelming. I saw much evidence of great play last night, and feel that playing a great defensive team is supposed to make an offense look less than stellar.

 

While watching the game, one thing that struck me was that we had a great game plan, the kids were well prepared, and that it must have taken extraordinary efforts to make this happen given the challenges they faced with no electricity all week.

 

The second thing that struck me is how grateful we should be that Coach Cov is here. I thought we had some electrifying plays offensively.

 

Huge shout outs to the Defense, as this was a great showcase game for them. I know Louisville X will be a great test, but I really think our Defense is up to the challenge.

 

Is our kicker a senior, and can we get him to go to UL? :lol:

 

All in all, a great night, a great game, and great company. Who could ask for more?

Well stated. Great Game. Great effort. Made us proud. Totally agree with your assessment of the O. This was a quality opponent. How about the defensive genius of Coach BEan and his staff. When first saw the "sets" --had to wonder......... "what in the world". The only thing - was that it worked like a charm. Unbelievable.

 

Agree with the other posters --- true and bigger test in 2 weeks. They are still No. 1. Will have our work cut out for us --but last night was fantastic. Congratulations again Rocks.:dancingpa:dancingpa

One other thing of note, I really liked the X band! It was nice to see a band at one of our games, and I thought it was really nice that they played to us. Thanks to them!:thumb:

Congrats Trinity, hope it was a great morning at films for the players and coaches.

 

I think St. X is definately not making the playoffs this year, but you never know with harbin points!

 

Anyways, congrats to Trinity on a big win. May this be a big highlight on the road for another state title.
