You are so very correct in that statement. X Lou has both a very good running game and what seems to be a good passing game this year(more balance). I was surprised by the lack of running by Cinn X with a 5yrd per carry avg, playing with the empty set most of the night makes it easier for the D. Great win for the Rocks.

I actually think we will have problems with X due to the running back duo.

Both Trinity kickers are juniors.

 

I believe school being out the whole week assisted the Shamrocks in implementing their game plan on both sides of the ball. I understand a great deal of time went into preparation for this contest. Nice to break up a 50 year losing streak. Trinity was 0-5 verus the Jesuit school, including a 16-0 defeat in 1958.

 

The Bombers score came with only ten Rocks on defense. Defensive signal caller made sideline aware (twice) and the defensive guru said play on.

 

I was surprised by the lack of speed on the Bombers side of the ball. QB Massa will be out 4-6 weeks per Cincy Enquirer report. Bombers take on improved Elder squad this Friday.

 

With the Rocks playing At Eastern on Thursday, I'm confident many supporters will find their way to Paul M Young Field on Friday to take in the Crimsons/Tigers matchup. The other option of U of L/UConn is not as enticing in my opinion.
