July 19, 200818 yr ******SPOILER (kind of)********* "I'm going to make this pencil dissappear..." Such an awesome movie. This is officially one of my favorite years for movies. Everything has lived up to the hype (that I've seen), and this is my favorite movie of the year so far.
July 19, 200818 yr Great movie, excellent acting all around. Only qualm is that Bale's Batman voice was annoying. Did anyone get a flashback to Bale's character in American Psycho when he was being Bruce Wayne (not Batman)? Same vanity, mannerisms, etc. but totally different morality. With the theme of the movie being that everyone is mad when desperate, it put a whole new spin on things for me, seeing if Batman would break.

Because there was chaos throughout the entire movie .
July 19, 200818 yr Movie was AWESOME. Agreed with cch, the Batman voice was really annoying. Heath Ledger's acting was unbelievable... Whose the next villian? Penguin?
July 19, 200818 yr I just got back from the movie. I thought it was awesome. Heath Ledger as some have mentioned was outstanding. It's a shame we won't get to see that talent anymore.
July 19, 200818 yr PepRock's thoughts: Excellent. Christopher Nolan has yet to make a movie I didn't like. Again the right director with a perfect cast scores a win. I will say that the movie did have a slight feel of taking too long to get to the point sometimes, but that was very slight at best and there really wasn't anything that was not good about it. The Hong Kong scene, in the long run, didn't feel as needed as the rest of the film, but I can understand why it was left in there. Heath Ledger was an excellent Joker, downright creepy in comparison to all the others who have worn the mantle of Joker over the years. Ceasar Romero, Jack Nicholson and Mark Hamill all portrayed the Joker in the more clownish light; this is a real return to the killer roots of the Joker's first appearance and I liked it. Great movie. Looking forward to Watchmen now.
July 19, 200818 yr Great movie, just finished watching it. The acting was great. A very dark movie (which I thought was good for Batman) and Heath Ledger done a great job. Man this movie was flat out awesome. Edited July 20, 200818 yr by Ram Rule 13
July 20, 200818 yr Excellent movie!!!! Lots of action...certainly one of the best movies that I've ever seen!!! The acting was incredible by all.
July 20, 200818 yr Movie was AWESOME. Agreed with cch, the Batman voice was really annoying. Heath Ledger's acting was unbelievable... Whose the next villian? Penguin? I hope they don't do Penguin. The only one from the series of known villains that I see being plausible in the same dark way would be The Riddler (and I think with the more serious movies now under his belt, Jim Carrey would be totally plausible to play a less silly, more dark version of the one he played almost 15 years ago). But in all honestly, I hope they forget about the classic Batman villains, and create something new. In regards to the voice: He's trying to disguise his otherwise VERY well known voice, as well as intimidate his enemies. So yeah, it's a little over the top, but understandably so.

I agree...The Penguin was too much of a child's villian...Man I would actually love to see the Riddler as the next villian...It would work great in a dark movie also..Sorta like riddling who's going to die or something...I wouldn't mind seeing Carey reprising that role either..After "23" I could see him playing this role in a dark way.. I didn't find his voice too annoying just because I understood why he was doing it...Because he had too in order to keep disguise.
July 20, 200818 yr I think Bane would be a good fit. If you've read the Knightfall storyline from the early-90s, that type of villain would work. Now remember this, I'm not talking about that abomination that they called Bane in the Batman & Robin movie. I also think the Riddler could be quite an effective villain.

If they do the Penguin like he is now in the comics (forget the mutation stuff from his last movie), a pudgy crime lord who make people that slight him suffer it could work. Zzazz, a serial killer who keeps a tally of his killing by giving himself scars could work.
July 20, 200818 yr I thought the movie was great. Ledger did a heck of a job as The Joker. I hope they make another one. "Why... so... Serious?"
