July 20, 200818 yr The acting was very good, and ledger had a excellent final performance. Did anyone else think that Gary Oldman did an amazing job?
July 20, 200818 yr Man there was some good quotes in the movie... "Why so Serious"? "The night is always darkest before the dawn" "A Hero they deserve, just not a hero they need"
July 20, 200818 yr The acting was very good, and ledger had a excellent final performance. Did anyone else think that Gary Oldman did an amazing job? I thought he was great as well...But as you said there was no bad acting in this entire movie...It was a magnificent movie and very well scripted.. One of my favorite parts was when he made the pencil disappear.

One of my favorite parts was when he made the pencil disappear. Honestly, there was one role that annoyed me... the driver of the SWAT vehicle carrying Dent. That guy annoyed me, and was a pretty poor actor. But considering that was one bit part, I can let it go. Overall acting still gets an A+ from me.

July 20, 200818 yr I hope they don't do Penguin. The only one from the series of known villains that I see being plausible in the same dark way would be The Riddler (and I think with the more serious movies now under his belt, Jim Carrey would be totally plausible to play a less silly, more dark version of the one he played almost 15 years ago). But in all honestly, I hope they forget about the classic Batman villains, and create something new. In regards to the voice: He's trying to disguise his otherwise VERY well known voice, as well as intimidate his enemies. So yeah, it's a little over the top, but understandably so. I agree...The Penguin was too much of a child's villian...Man I would actually love to see the Riddler as the next villian...It would work great in a dark movie also..Sorta like riddling who's going to die or something...I wouldn't mind seeing Carey reprising that role either..After "23" I could see him playing this role in a dark way.. I didn't find his voice too annoying just because I understood why he was doing it...Because he had too in order to keep disguise. Not to be contentious but I don't want Jim Carrey as the Riddler again, he did it once that is fine let's let someone else take a spin on the character. Frankly I think John Malkovich would be an excellent choice as a new Riddler. Also Christopher Nolan has said that the two villians he won't do are Penguin and Mr. Freeze.

I agree that Mr. Freeze and the Penguin would not be good choices in this new age darker Batman... But I don't see nothing wrong with having Carrey as the Riddler if they do decide to to have him as the next villian. He can play a serious role and has that sorta edge about him...But if they decide to bring in someone new than that's great too but I disagree with Malkovich being the man for the job...

Jim Carrey just never felt right for the character for me, he felt more like the Joker-lite than the Riddler. Malkovich's quirky brain seems to fit the riddler better in my mind. That said our opinion is irrelevant as Christopher Nolan will pick who he wants and it will be good. Watch the double negative by the way, it sounds like you agreed with me.

With how busy Bale has been I wonder how quickly they'll be able to start on Batman 3.
July 20, 200818 yr Outstanding movie...... how did they get away with PG-13... The Joker was pretty cruel and intense. In this movie expect the unexpected. Watch out Will Smith.. Bale is in a movie every 6 months it seems and he is good, really good. Thought it was amazing that during the Dark Knight, Terminator previews.. featuring Bale.
July 20, 200818 yr Amazing movie. I went in with the highest expectations possible, and was not disappointed.
July 20, 200818 yr Author I would much rather see John Malkovich than Jim Carrey play the Riddler. I think a villian that they could definitely do well with in a third would be Two-Face again. I think Tommy Lee Jones did pretty good with it, but in a more serious movie someone could do great. As for this movie... I still have not been able to see it yet. Maybe tonight or tomorrow. But one thing I know for sure. I am very happy that Heath Ledger's performance completely lived up to the hype from what I have heard. Makes me happy.
