July 22, 200818 yr Already 100% stated that there will no Robin in the movies as long as Bale is playing Batman...There is an article ... "If Robin crops up in one of the new Batman films, I'll be chaining myself up somewhere and refusing to go to work," Bale told StarPulse. Also that article mentioned that Two-Face will be back for the 3rd Batman movie as well as other villians that are not yet known. As far as the Catwoman thing, I mean I guess you could say that or just something that had no hidden meaning behind it..I guess we'll find out one of these days. Music to my ears.
July 22, 200818 yr This movie was not what I expected and hoped for, ............... it was even better! Heath Leger was amazing. Christian Bale has become the best Batman I have ever seen on screen. That part could not have been done any better IMHO. Brilliant. 2 & 1/2 hrs long, ... my daughter and I went to the 1030pm showing on Sunday night. When it was over, she looked at me and said 'Wow. I can't wait to see it again with my friends.' When this comes out on DVD, it will be added to my collection. This sequel was actually better than the original 'Batman Begins' and I absolutely LOVE that movie. I saw it opening night and Sunday night, and I've been offered to see it again at Imax... considering I didn't actually pay for either of my first two tickets, I am very likely considering it. The last time I saw a movie multiple times in a theater was Jurassic Park... I was 8 years old then, and I loved that movie in a way only an 8 year old could... though I think it's safe to say that I've got a similar feeling about the Dark Knight at 23.
July 22, 200818 yr He wasn't the driver but yes that guy was extremely annoying and I thought the few one-liners he had were poorly written. Yeah, it wasn't until the second time I saw it that I realized who the driver was. :lol: and while we totally agree on the other guy, I must say... Besides the SWAT guy the only problem I had with the movie was Maggie Gyllenhaal. I don't think she was the right person for that role and I don't think she did that great of a job. Katie Holmes was much, much better imo. ...totally disagree. Katie Holmes had zero chemistry with Christian Bale, and didn't have much to offer the role, IMO. I felt Maggie Gyllenhaal was superior in every way to Katie Holmes for the role.

Generally I think she is a decent actress but I did think her character was written a little strangely in this movie. Something about her and the writing both just didn't really click for me. But like said before, she really didn't have that big of a part for it to take away anything from the movie in my eyes. Call me crazy but I find myself thinking about the joker at random points in the day and how exceptional Ledger really was.:creepy:

July 22, 200818 yr Great movie. To be honest though, I thought Batman Begins was a little better. That's not really a knock on this one. Iron Man, Batman Begins and The Dark Knight are three of the best movies I've seen, and definitely the best of the new superhero movies. I really liked Ledger's performance as the Joker, but again, I'm not sure I'm buying the Oscar hype. I think Nolan's vision (for the character(s) and the movies as a whole) are what makes this series as much as anything else. I love the darker Joker character with the sloppy make-up. I like the way Nolan keeps some element of realism...nobody actually has a superpower. I loved the movie, but it's not my favorite of the summer. To be honest, I liked Iron Man a little better. As for future Batman movies. Here's a short list of criminals that I'd like to see Nolan choose from for the next one... The Mad Hatter - I'd really love to see this. I'd like to see Nolan's interpretation of the Hatter. Bane - The last movie with Bane was a joke...they didn't do his character justice. They made him an ignorant brute, when in reality he's a highly intelligent guy who happens to be extremely strong. Again, I think Nolan could do something cool with this character. The Riddler - This is the obvious choice, and I wouldn't mind it. I think it would be great. But, because it's obvious, part of me would prefer to see them think outside the box and go a different direction. But, the Riddler is such a cool character, I would again like to see Nolan's darker take. Black Mask - Not quite as well known as some other villains, but could be a good one for the current series. Although, I think he might be better as a "supporting" villain and not the main one. The Penguin - I disagree with the thoughts that Penguin wouldn't work...I think a fresh, new, darker take could make him a much more interesting and menacing character than we've seen in the past. It would be a challenge though. Poison Ivy - Similar to the Penguin...I think it could be cool, but it would be tricky. Neither would be easy. I think choosing one or two from the trio of the Mad Hatter, Bane and the Riddler would be cool. I'd love to see the Mad Hatter on the big screen...

Didn't say that...just that they're three of the best movies I've seen. I really liked them and I thought the acting and storylines/plots in all three were top notch. They were better than other superhero movies, IMO.
July 22, 200818 yr Author Well I would definitely agree with you there. I am not a big fan of many of the other super hero movies, but I still haven't seen the third Spiderman.
