July 24, 200818 yr Any chance they recast the Joker and he's in the next Batman? After this performance it's really hard to imagine someone actually willing to take on the role. I think they'll have to go a different direction for now and maybe if they make more films bring him back in the future.

Agreed, bringing in someone else to be the joker would likely just make the movie a disapointment.

Your opinion is NO WAY does he deserve an Oscar...and my opinion is that there is NO WAY his performance will be forgotten, even with half a year of movies to still come out. The number of people that seen this movie in the first week alone is reason to believe that the performance will definitely not be forgotten. Everyone is talking about it.
July 27, 200818 yr While people are on the subject of the 3rd installment.....The rumor I've heard is that Nolan wants David Hyde Pierce (Frasier's brothers) to play the Riddler in the 3rd movie....I would love to see what he could do with that role.

Like I said, we still have HALF A YEAR left to see movies...You guys are acting like the awards are tomorrow...If they were, then sure, give him an nomination or maybe give him the award but there's way to many movies that haven't came out yet to determine who the winner or nominees should even be.

I don't see anyone beating that performance. It was one of the best I've ever seen. BTW, I just saw this movie for the 2nd time. And it was just as good as seeing it the first time. Great movie.
