The Dark Knight

Outstanding movie...... how did they get away with PG-13... The Joker was pretty cruel and intense.

In this movie expect the unexpected.

Watch out Will Smith.. Bale is in a movie every 6 months it seems and he is good, really good. Thought it was amazing that during the Dark Knight, Terminator previews.. featuring Bale.

I agree, the whole movie was intense. It was one of those that left you a little bit drained after it was over. As for the PG-13 rating all I can think of is there really wasn't any bad language or sex and all of the violence was pretty much bloodless. Great movie.

^ The lack of blood was what I was thinking for the rating as well. In fact, I don't know that I can recall any blood at all.

Yeah, I don't recall much if any at all..

Don't recall blood... but the Joker reminded me of the guy from Saw with his mentality.

Thinking about going later today ...

He did somewhat, but more in how complicated his plots were. Jigsaw seems to want to teach people a lesson and make them see there mistakes while Joker just wanted to set the world against itself and watch it burn--not to make people see the error of their ways.

I would much rather see John Malkovich than Jim Carrey play the Riddler. I think a villian that they could definitely do well with in a third would be Two-Face again. I think Tommy Lee Jones did pretty good with it, but in a more serious movie someone could do great.

As for this movie...

I still have not been able to see it yet. Maybe tonight or tomorrow. But one thing I know for sure. I am very happy that Heath Ledger's performance completely lived up to the hype from what I have heard. Makes me happy.

SPOILER

Isn't Two-Face, aka Harvey Dent, um, dead now?

^ He may be in this new one...like I said, I have not seen it yet. I was going to tonight, but that might have gotten pushed back a couple more days.

Breaking the previous record set by Spider man 3 last Summer, Dark Knight was reported to have already taken in over $155 million. Also went on to say that due to the movie being sold out at several locations has caused other movies sales to increase.

CBS reported that movie sales for the weekend are over $250 million which breaks the previous weekend record set back in 2006...... & we're in a recession right.

That's what I left the movie thinking....Although It didn't look like that far of a drop so maybe he didn't die...I guess it leaves the door open since it never really showed..

The Joker really made some good points and got me to thinking about how civilized a people we truly are.

Just got back in from seeing it. Glad I went; it was an excellent flick, and well worth me ending my moratorium on going to the theatre.

How bout that actor (can't think of his name) playing a batman villian. That might be pretty good.

Tobin Bell

Man the Joker's demeanor was just so much hate towards the city and so much rage...You could just feel so much into the movie it was unreal..I felt they really got everyone's attention and focus throughout the movie, and for a movie that is 2 1/2 hours long that is hard to do.
