July 18, 200818 yr Awesome movie, loved it just about as much as I thought I would going into it. The only thing I'll say about the movie is that it is a little dark, could be a bit much for a young child to see. Over all the movie was brilliant though, and Bale is THE MAN!
July 18, 200818 yr I just read where it grossed $18.5 Million last night just from the midnight showings, not including many of the 3AM and 6AM shows that many theaters added. It was shown on 3040 screens for an average of $5441 per screen. It broke the record of Star Wars Epidsode III. The Dark Knight shatters preview record

July 19, 200818 yr Tough call, took me some time to think this one through. I honestly think it is better, the cast is much better to. I think part of what made the last one so good was that noone knew Batman Begins was going to be half as good as it was, and it ROCKED. I'd say to be honest The Dark Knight is probably better, but of course some may not agree, partially because they weren't surprised by how great it was.
July 19, 200818 yr Love, love, loved it!!! I've never been a very big Heath Ledger fan, and figured his performance was being hyped because of his tragic death, but wow is all I can say! I am officially a Heath Ledger fan after this movie. He was absolutely amazing. I loved how while Christian Bale was a major character in the movie, it seemed to center more around the development of the Joker, Harvey Dent, and Gordon more so than Batman. One of the best movies I've seen in quite some time...I've heard some awesome rumors about the plot of the 3rd installment, and I can only hope they live up to how great this one was...

July 19, 200818 yr Also after some thought about the movie, I think a HUGE part of what made Ledger's performance SO GREAT, is the fact that this isn't a typical role. You can't just say the dialogue, and show emotion. He had to truley become the character, and capture it for the audience which he did brilliantly. Unlike a typical movie, he couldn't just apply an accent(spelling), but rather he had to become, the joker, and he COMPLETELY did. Sure there was alot of hype, and I have never been a big fan of him prior to this film. However after seeing him in this, I do truley recognize what a talent we lost when Heath Ledger passed away.
