I have read The Autobiography of Malcolm X : As Told to Alex Haley

and a few other books about him as we as a few books on Dr. King. I see a lot of similarities but also some HUGE differences in their philosophies and beliefs of people like Rev. Wright

From my personal experiences no one would vote for Obama in Pike Co. The reason I would say is because of the color of his skin.

 

I changed my vote from Clinton to Obama. Why? She talks about change but has yet to say how she is going to change.

 

When did covering your heart or wearing a flag pin mean you are a Great American? Or making you the best candidate for President?

 

Pike Co. isn't all redneck, and the color of his skin has nothing to do with my opinion if that is what you are implying.

 

I guess I've heard it all now...a voter who really doesn't care if a Presidential candidate respects the country enough to simply wear the flag lapel or cover his heart during the Pledge or National Anthem.

 

Here is why I will not vote for Obama, and pretty much consider anyone who does ignorant as to what it means to be American. This is Obama's Church and their Vision. Check it out here http://www.tucc.org/home.htm and tell me where it says anything about helping the people of this country. Their vision's "non-negotiable" commitment to Africa is mentioned twice, America not once. The last time I checked Africa is a continent inhabited by many countries each having their own goverment. If its that important for him to help them out run for office over there.

If he isn't , he should. The same can be said of many other counties. Race will likely be a big deteminer in the November contest. Think about it, more than 1 in 5 people surveyed at Ky exit polls told a complete stranger(maybe within earshot of someone of another race) that race was a major factor in who they voted for. This tells me that the actual number is probably 2 in 5 or greater since many people would never admit this in an interview with a total stranger. There is no one that is devoid of racial bias; more than 20% of Kentuckians openly admitted as much.

I reiterate just because someone listens to another person doesn't mean they agree with them. For instance, I've listen to speaches, for years, by Louis Farrakhan but that doesn't mean I believe what he says?

 

My oldest brother was a backer of the Black Panther movement and he used to tell me things about the movement does that now make me a follower?

What does it mean when the percentage of whites voting for Obama is much larger than the percentage of blacks voting for Clinton? Does it mean blacks are much more racist? What about women voting for Clinton? Are they biased? This has been an interesting season as these two groups have come to the front.

Obama got almost 1,000 votes in Pike County.....that tells me there is more Super-Liberals in Pike County than I am comfortable with:lol:, nothing else.............
