April 10, 200818 yr Author Thats stupid. One perk of my work is there is a TV nearby to watch. Just about all of the games that aren't on the FSN schedule are weekday afternoon games...
April 10, 200818 yr Nice game by the good guys tonight. I like how they immediately came back and took the lead after the error had given the Brewers the lead. Good effort tonight. I'll take 5 IP , 4 H, 1ER , 3K, 0 BB from Josh every time out.
April 10, 200818 yr Author CTR puts Fogg in the proper perspective... Wednesday night, Josh Fogg pitched like he usually pitches, if he has his control -- which he'll have the vast majority of the time -- he'll be fine. He's not going to be Johnny Cueto, but not too many folks are. Josh Fogg is a capable fifth starter, which he is in essence here. Remember, he was good enough to be the fifth starter for the National League champs last year. He'll keep teams in games and if you score enough runs, he'll get wins. Fogg went five innings, allowed four hits, three runs, one earned run and three strikeouts with no walks. No, it's not Cy Young, but as the fifth starter (even if he's probably technically the fourth) you don't need to much else. The good thing is the Reds now have some depth in starters. Not only is there Fogg, but also Matt Belisle can come back and there's always Homer Bailey. Last season the Reds used 11 different starters, including 24 combined starts from Kirk Saarloos, Phil Dumatrait, Elizardo Ramirez, Tom Shearn and Eric Milton. That shouldn't happen this year. That's why it's important to have dependable back-of-the-rotation starters like Josh Fogg. http://www.thelotd.com/ctrent/blog
April 10, 200818 yr Isn't there a way to wach all MLB games online? You can subscribe to a MLB package, but there are blackout restrictions.
April 10, 200818 yr You can't even listen to MLB games on XM's website! I couldn't figure it out at least!
April 10, 200818 yr You can subscribe to a MLB package, but there are blackout restrictions. Would the game today fall under those blackout restrictions? Out of curiosity how did you feel about Fogg being removed for a pinch hitter last night after only throwing 60 something pitches and 5 innings?
April 10, 200818 yr Out of curiosity how did you feel about Fogg being removed for a pinch hitter last night after only throwing 60 something pitches and 5 innings? It all depends on where you live. Didn't bother me a bit because I know Fogg is a 5-6 inning pitcher. The Reds got what they needed from him and the Reds had an opportunity to extend their lead.

At that time, there was only 1 out and runners on 1st & 2nd. A run (maybe 2 or 3) is much more important than another inning from Josh Fogg. He got 5 innings in and the bullpen took over. A great move.

I think it's almost the same except for I would have been more ok w/ it if he left him in last night to bunt w/ a chance of getting two more in after having only thrown 60 something pitches and haveing a lead.
