1976 Louisville Male with Griffith and Turner. They won the state the year before and lost to Ballard in the regional with basically the same team. Oh yea, Ballard went on to win the state in 1976 with Jeff Lamp scoring 43 in the championship game.

Can someone explain to me what happened in that game.

 

Holmes, down by 1 shoots a shot at the horn which is blocked by a Shelby County players whose arm just happened to be straight up throught the rim. The most obvious goaltending ever, but it wasn't called.

Harlan High School - 1994, preseaon 13th in the nation! Got a HORRIBLE call at the end of the game against Clay Co. and lost with no time on the clock in the regionals. Harlan won the All A State Title that year.

I think the nasty loss to Ballard that year can be atributed to the war they had with Paducah Tilghman in the semi's on Saturday morning...

'78 Apollo 35-0 going in. Won L.I.T. ( at the time biggest tournment around ), beat state champions in L.I.T finals. Would have been great to see them play Holmes that year.
