  1. PERFECTLY SAID!!!!:thumb::thumb::thumb:
  2. Any neither did the losing team of the girls game but no one is harping on that. The girls didn't even hold thier trophy up and left the floor immediately after. Just stop picking already and lets focus on Newport and their bid for bringing the state title back to Northern Kentucky.
  3. That's exactly my point! This team, over the last 3 years, has worked hard to bring some respect to the school and the community. They have put the 9th Region on the map and played with a target on their back all season. Newport hit that target and came out on top. I am certainly not condoning the action that was displayed. The actions of a few does certainly reflect on the whole team and the school, which is a complete shame. I am quite certain those few players will get an ear full, as well they should.
  4. Will there be any final attendance numbers released?
  5. I walked out with one of the parents who did put at least one of them back in check. I don't dispute that there was some display that should not have happened. I hate to see the whole team and the program become labeled because of the action of a few.
  6. It is disheartening to see the comments about the Holmes team in general. I don't feel we can label the team as having a total lack of class and poor sportsmanship due the the acts of 1 or 2. I did see them leave for the locker room but other than maybe those 1 or 2 I would like to think it was not meant in poor sportsmanship but a very upsetting and confusing moment for many of those young men. Please don't take one moment in time and label a team that has overcome adversity and accomplished what they have in the last 3 years. Coach Henley has done some amazing things with this group of players, this just was not the night for them. Newport was clearly the better team on the floor and for that they should be congratulated!! They will represent the 9th region and as other teams supported Holmes we will support Newport in their quest.
  7. Very well said. This team has had an awesome run. I have enjoyed watching these young men for the last 4 years and look forward to many more. Keep your heads held high, you have made some big accomplishments and have a long future ahead of you. Once A Bulldog....Always A Bulldog!!!
  8. That's the choir and drama teacher. The students putting on the Seussical, The Musical here very shortly. Leave it to him to support the students in anyway he can.
  9. Thanks for the awesome updates. How much time is left?
  10. I doubt they will clear the gym. I plan to get there as early as possible, might have to sit through the first game to have a seat for the second.
  11. Thanks for the updates. Please keep them coming.
  12. I heard an annoucement that JV plays at 5pm, not the posted 6pm. That would put the varisty game at 6:30.
  13. Is this game still on? Covington schools are closed today, not sure about HC.
  14. I completely agree with this reply. I have watched the boys worked extremely hard to get where they are today. It is a much different team than in recent years and the hard work has paid off. Congrats Bulldogs and to the fans and alumni who have weathered the rain almost every game. See you next Friday!!
