I would just like to say that as far as my family is concerned we will miss the Eutons and the Jacksons(if he leaves). They have done so much for my 2 kids since they have been there. My son and daughter may not have ever played basketball if it were not for Pam and Clay. We really hate it that they are leaving but we understand why and we will ALWAYS be cheering for both of these boys. Dakota and Chad have been like brothers to my kids and they are really struggling with even the thought of them leaving. They are two great kids and we will miss them very much.

Name the offers. Be proud. Since you mentioned Euton struggled against Faulkner, share the offers.

I can tell you that Gardener-Webb, and a couple of Ivy League schools have. Are they as big name as UK? No. Does that change the fact that he more than held his own against a bigger, taller UK recruit?

History doesn't lie. Rose Hill has been involved over the past 7 or 8 years with more than one of these situations. I am not saying the school or the family is wrong. All I am saying is that he is leaving a school that has a history of losing high profile players after a year or so when they don't pan out. He is a high profile player whose family have most likely been advised as to how to move and remain eligible. There are several kids within 30 miles of my locale that have lost 1 or 2 years of eligibility and had no chance of continuing their playing careers. If they had been as high profile as this young man they would have played. PERIOD. Hypocrisy is fact. They are high school kids and they should not be treated any different regardless of their situation. Less than 150 kids statewide will play basketball at the collegiate level from Ky. next year. Are we planning on overthrowing the SS by letting kids play ball?

You just can't seem to grasp the moving thing can you? Hypocrisy may be fact, but blind naivity to facts like He's moving is quite something else. Period.

It upsets me that people are taking shots at this family. This is a decision that I have been aware of for a couple of months, and I am sick over it. Clay, Pam, and Dakota have been great friends and very supportive during a difficult time in my life. I understand and support the reason behind the move. If Chad also leaves I also understand and support that decision. I love these two families and know how they feel about my family. I will continue praying for them and cheering all their accomplishments.

That's the answer expected. Several players had similar or better success against Euton this year. But at the end of the day, Euton has legit offers and is committed to UK and that's really what counts.

And that's my point.........You said it yourself. Several, supposed "lesser" players outplayed him on several occassions. Not my words, yours!

I don't think there is any bidding involved. Mr Euton's place of employment is closing and I understand Dakota eats a lot. Mr Euton already has a job in Lexington and I'm sure the Euton's are perfectly capable of finding the best school for Dakota without any "bidding" inuendo's. Dakota already has a scholarship, so the next two years should just be preparing him for college.

Euton and Jackson will be missed in the 16th but they are leaving for perfectly understandable reasons. They represented Rose Hill well and I know everyone at Rose Hill wishes them nothing but the best.

They were fun to watch for the last few years.

Hopefully they will end up somewhere and get another shot at those Elliot County boys again:thumb:

I don't blame them and I hope things work out for the best, but to try and paint this as a move that has nothing to do with basketball is insulting to everyone's intelligence.

I realize the KHSAA doesn't see it the same way so the Eutons and everyone else who is in this situation must come up with something to make it a "legitimate" move.

I just think it's rediculous that people on here are acting like that's not part of the reason.

I also think it has worked out fine for both OJ and Bill, but to act like all those moves weren't basketball related also would be rediculous.

I am sure that a lot of teams and people will be glad that they are leaving but it makes no since to me why, It seems like the people in the area would want to keep talent in the area to keep the excitement. I know that I liked going to watch their ballgames because they are exciting to watch. I also believe that Rose Hill may struggle with these boys gone but they will be just fine in a couple of years and will be very tough to beat. I just wonder what everyone will cry about then.

What is the main gripe of your concern, student-athletes moving or just students moving in general?

Rose Hill will be perfectly fine. They will still do great or who knows even better unless Jackson leaves.
