Featured Replies

I dont know but you still didnt answer my question. Why wouldnt Jackson stay at Rose HIll?

First of all the Jackson's have not told anyone they are leaving. If they did then only they could accurately answer your question.

So I guess since their is know affiliation to Euton from Jackson then their is no reason what so ever for Jackson to leave. I wish him the best next year as a " Royal"...:thumb:

This is really bad news for the RH fans on this board and I sympathize with you. First the OJ experience and now this. I'm also sorry to see some of the crass remarks made on here by some fans about your misfortune. Best wishes to the Eutons wherever they decide to live.

I don't feel sorry for them, I hate to see Euton leave the area but thats something that comes along with having a high profile player on your team. The RH fans should be thankful for the time he spent in the area.

RH may be down for a few years, but I've watched what looks to be a very good middle school team play a few games in the last couple of years. If they can keep those kids together, Rose Hill wont be down too long.

What do you mean that this comes along with having a high profile player on your team? Are you saying that Euton or any high profile player goes to different high schools for the sports?

I don't think there is any bidding involved. Mr Euton's place of employment is closing and I understand Dakota eats a lot. Mr Euton already has a job in Lexington and I'm sure the Euton's are perfectly capable of finding the best school for Dakota without any "bidding" inuendo's. Dakota already has a scholarship, so the next two years should just be preparing him for college.

Euton and Jackson will be missed in the 16th but they are leaving for perfectly understandable reasons. They represented Rose Hill well and I know everyone at Rose Hill wishes them nothing but the best.

They were fun to watch for the last few years.

Hopefully they will end up somewhere and get another shot at those Elliot County boys again:thumb:

If Euton is good enough to go to UK we are in bad shape at UK, the Faulker boy give him all he wanted in the regions and he is 6 feet tall. I hope he improves a lot over the next two seasons if not I don't think we will see him at UK.
Maybe they'll go to Cincinnati and then when things don't work out there they can end up at Huntington High....

I don't blame them and I hope things work out for the best, but to try and paint this as a move that has nothing to do with basketball is insulting to everyone's intelligence.

:thumb: Agree

I'm sure Toyota could find a nice spot for his father and Scott County a spot for Dakotah.

That is some funny stuff right there.

I guess the Elliott fans are feeling a little better about next season.

Yes. I think that does happen. I'm not close enough to the situation to say why he is moving. I try not to judge other people without knowing the facts. If he did leave this area for the basketball aspect, I wouldn't have a problem with it at all. You have to do what is best for you in life. Euton will get better competition by moving. He will become a better ball player because of the move no matter what the families reasoning was.

I am sorry but Faulkner did not handle Euton, it was Faulkner, Knipp and whatever Forward was on the side of the paint at the time, and if you believe differently, then you didnt watch the game. Did Faulkner play hard and do the best he could, yes, but absolutely did not handle Euton. The only person that shut Euton down was his Coach.

So what you are saying is that your OK with the fact that kids move for sports?

I dont think Euton even sat on the bench that game at all.

Perhaps you could read the very first post.

" I don't know where he's going, but I can't imagine his son's college future in basketball not having some bearing in the decision" was how it read I believe.

To make a move to relocate and not make a move to better his son would be ignorant. But I suppose you would do otherwise. Bottom line, he doesn't lose his job, he stays here. You seem to have some insight. Enlighten us. Please!

And for what it's worth. Looks like things have worked out fine for the other Royal who "went to Cincinnati and when things didn't work out ended up at Huntington High". Can you say NBA?

From the posts you guys have posted, sounds like Rose Hill ought to be like the NBA has done and make a certain grade or age before they can transfer. The NBA makes kids go to one year of college, maybe Rose Hill ought to make the parents of their players sign a similar contract.

When OJ left did it affect the younger grades as well? Does your star leaving make the younger groups split as well?

I dont think Euton even sat on the bench that game at all.

Who said he did?
