Dakotah Euton leaving Rose Hill

Featured Replies

You said that the coach at Rose Hill shut Euton down and if I remember correctly Euton played the whole game. The coach doesnt miss shots, the coach doesnt get shots blocked or have turnovers....

So what you are saying is that your OK with the fact that kids move for sports?

As long as the kid doesn't make the move in the middle of the season. If it's in the kids best intrest then what would be the problem ?

Eutons situation is a little different than your average high school ball player. Not all high school kids have commited to a division 1 school such as Kentucky.

I have a proble with kids moving because they don't like the coach or the practices are too hard or they don't want to play on a bad team. I do not in any way have a problem with a kid moving if it benifits them and their future college athletic career.

What was Mr. Euton's occupation?

I thought he was an engineer and owned his own company.

No but it is the coaches fault not to make adjustments to help one of his players that is getting triple teamed. One thing could have been done in my opinion to win that game and that would have been to post Jackson up. If that would have been done, Rose Hill would have won by 10.

I am sorry but Faulkner did not handle Euton, it was Faulkner, Knipp and whatever Forward was on the side of the paint at the time, and if you believe differently, then you didnt watch the game. Did Faulkner play hard and do the best he could, yes, but absolutely did not handle Euton. The only person that shut Euton down was his Coach.

And apparently someone else didn't see the first game, when a 6' 1" Evan Faulkner, in the 2nd half pushed Mr. Euton around like he was on skates, kept him out of the paint, and pretty much made him a non-factor in the second half. By himself, no doubles, no triples, one on one.:thumb:

I have seen too many kids transfer and people bash the parent and the players, and I think the only way you can justify bashing the parent and the player is if they leave because of being mad of something foolish, and this does not seem to be that case. They seemed to be loved by their school and community and are leaving to better themselves, and I dont think anyone can blame them. Honestly, Jackson and Euton needs to play at a higher profile school with a veteran staff to mature anymore as a player. It as well sounds like Fraley might end up back at his alma mater coaching and I believe his style will be better fit there and he will be able to lead solid teams there in that style. If any of the younger group kids decide to leave, I believe they would make a good fit with the 8th grade Johnson county group. That would make a very solid group for next year.

You are correct is stating that I did not watch the first game. Would have been a closer drive for me from Paintsville though. The only problem with your statement though was the word "push". The only question I have for that is, was the foul called after the "push"? I also dont recall the score, but Rose Hill won that game you are speaking of as well, so maybe that is why they went to the triple team this time.

Prehaps, a name change is in order for RH.... How about Stepping Stone High? Or maybe God Loves Talent Christian School?? On a serious side, I've read an heard from the RH fans about how important Christian morals and values are to this family:confused: But I can't help but wonder, how wierd is it that Mr. Euton's job is eliminated so quickly after RH's season?? Most company's evaluate on a quarterly, or annual basis. March is neither:p

I believe someone stated on another forum that Mr Euton has been without a job thru out the whole season. Would it had made him a better person if he would have left then?

As well, if he can get a better job somewhere else and his son can better himself, then I am sure they are not too tore up about it.

I have no problem with Mr. Euton leaving and playing where ever he wants next year but, pleeeease. There are kids all over the state that didn't get to play this past year because of varios situations that were ruled ineligible by the SS. Oops, I meant the KHSAA. Sorry! If they all had been as high profile as this young man they probably would not have lost a year of eligibility. Let's not be hypocritical.

Can I ask you to elaborate on this please? Are you saying that Fraley is leaving to?

I wish the Eutons the best. They have served Rose Hill, the 64th District and the 16th Region well. I have seen them put countless hours in at Rose Hill and not all has been about sports. For whatever reason they are leaving the area is non of my business or anyone on BGP. If Dakota had been at any public school in the Region this thread would have died out along time ago. May God bless the Eutons wherever they may end up.

Very well said....:thumb:

What is comical is how many of these post are way off base. Mr. Euton has already accepted a job and it's not with Toyota, Mr. Euton's employer (Woolpert) is closing at the end of this year, Mrs. Jackson has custody of her son and has since he was born. She does not work with either Euton, the Jacksons have never lived in Ironton, and Dakotah never transfered to Rose Hill unless 3rd graders transfer but shortly he will transfer from Rose Hill.

So other than that, you're saying all this is true? ;)

First off he was notified a while back that his job was being terminated and the company was shutting down. To get on here and bash or mock Christianity like you are doing is a big shame on you. Personally with all your post you sound a lot like a lost soul. Maybe you should check yourself, because you sure get off on bashing kids. I will guarntee this, Clay and Pam and Dakota will not lose an once of sleep over what you have to say. They are great people and will be sadly missed as friends more than for Euton's playing ability and the RH faithful understand that, you my friend don't

To the Euton's:L Coach Davis wishes you guys the best where ever you end up.
