Dakotah Euton leaving Rose Hill

Featured Replies

I'm not a RH fan and I don't know the answer to that. I would like to know why it is so important to you ? If the kids that played at Rose Hill stayed for their entire high school careers it would likely mean more loses for our other local schools.

I guess I just don't see the big deal with the kids not graduating from Rose Hill.

IMO, RH hasnt done anything that other local schools havent dont as far as wins and championships and so forth. Actually they probably should of done more. They have had 1 regional championship and 1 district championship since the OJ era.

So your saying that because RH is a Christian School that they shouldn't have sports ?

IMO, they should have morals. IMO, letting kids play sports for that reason only doesnt look good.

OK let me take a stab at this. IMO' date=' the players that have came in to RH only came for sports and as a Christian school, IMO, this is totally what the school is there for.[/quote']

What players are you talking about and is Rose Hill supposed to turn away students that want to attend their school even if the students only reason wanting to attend that school is for sports?

Okay, if thats the case, why would you care if the players graduated from RH ?

I'm basically trying to figure out what your obsession is with all this. It just doesn't seem like that big of a deal to me.

I believe you are an Ashland supporter, right ?

So if Rose Hill were to have their best player transfer, why would it matter to you ? Wouldn't that just give Ashland a better chance of competing against them next year ?

What reasons are they letting kids play sports for ?

Should Notre Dame not have sports ?

If your going to use that insane reasoning, shouldn't we question kids being able to play sports at all ? After all, sports take away time that could be used for studying.

Why do you believe they should turn those students away? Even it that is the reason the students want to attend Rose Hill, they would still be hearing the word of God on a weekly basis. Why would Rose Hill want to lose any opportunites to tell others about God?

Money is money. If you have someone willing to pay to attend your school, camp, or any other place of business and you decide to turn them away. You're insane. You invite all and filter the garage out.

I couldn't disagree more. If I have a child who is gifted in the arts and I can get them admitted to SCAPA in Lexington, don't I have every right as a parent to give my child that opportunity?

If my kid is a great gymnast/cheerleader and I can afford to move into the Dunbar district (multiple national championships) don't I have the right to provide that opportunity for my child?

There is a big stigma about transfering for athletic purposes, but I think parents should be allowed to provide their child the best opportunity possible. (This is also my argument that parents should be allowed to make the decision to hold their kids back without getting a bunch of flack from administrators or other parents/fans who choose not to take advantage of that rule)

In my opinion if they head to Lexington they just may go from being Baptist to Catholic real quick.

Back in the OJ days, there were two siblings who had attended RH since preschool, a third child was ready to enter kindergarten. The parents applied for partial scholarship help for having 3 kids at the school and they were denied. These 2 kids had gone to RH for years because of it being a christian school, yet they send a bus to huntington and this athlete's tuition is being paid for by scholarship or private donations. Is this right. All 3 kids now attend public school.

Rose Hill offers discounts to families that have multiple children attending school. Rose Hill had no control over who paid "this athelete's" tuition.

What is your point? What is the correlation between the 3 kid and the kid that got the scholarship?
