Arrez Henderson

Featured Replies

Arrez Henderson may not be the most skilled, talented basketball player on the court, but his athleticism and off-the-chart tenacity make up for it. Given what I've seen from the kid the last two years, I wouldn't want to be the one that tells him he can't contribute at a Division I school.

BELL 40...that was a sarcastic SPELLING in response to your response!!

Wow, this is the great thing about BGP, some just do not quite get it!! Let me try again, Eastern Kentucky...Duh!! Eta Rho & ESPNGUY....he just does not understand. There is not any reason to waste anymore of your time trying to get Bell 40 to understand the Holmes situation and specific players capabilities, etc. They justified on the court all year who they are and why they deserve all opportunities put before them. Great kids deserve great opportunities when they are earned.

Yes sir, well said.

Nice save on the misspelling. :thumb:

Care to put any more words in my mouth?

Honestly, I don't know. Henderson doesn't appear to have the offensive game to play at that level, but what he does in other areas makes up for it.

I think some are going to be very very surprised to find out where Arrez ends up.

Still early...but love what I am hearing.

All I needed to know...

I would say Henderson can play at some Division I schools ... I'm sure there are some coaches that love his defense, athleticism and tenacity.

I have never seen the kid play, but from what everyone seems to say, he is a high character kid who is also a defensive specialist who is also a great athlete. I would say a lot of people would love to have him. Pitino took a chance on Knowles last year and it's paying off. Maybe BCG finds that diamond in the rough who happens to be a KY kid.

Probably so. He is several years away from contributing more than spot duty at that level.

Pretty accurate description. I wouldnt look for him to end up at UK though. I would take him as a walk on as I think he would be great for practice on D, but that is as far as it goes.

How does Henderson compare, say, to Preston Knowles?

So I guess NKU is likely out? Too bad, I would have enjoyed watching him for another 4 years.

I agree!! I think a lot of people will be shocked. I hope it works out.

Henderson actually pretty much shut Knowles down when they faced Henderson's junior year.

As far as how they compare:

Defensively, Henderson is much better.

Offensively, Knowles has a better shot but Henderson is stronger and a better finisher around the basket as well as rebounder.

Athletically I'd say they're about the same. Knowles might be a little quicker.
