March 8, 200818 yr We are finished shoveling today. We did our sidewalk and driverway, and my Mom's driveway and walkway this morning. A good snow like this makes you want to invest in a snow blower. Channel 5 didn't say Kenton County was under a Class C snow emergency at 8:30am. Found it out after listening to the radio coming back from my Mom's house.
March 8, 200818 yr One of our city salt-truck drivers is a sadistic jerk -- or maybe just an idiot! We had our driveway cleared, and our next door neighbor's driveway cleared. There was a large pile of snow in the gutter between the two. This goofball makes a special effort to swing over into the gutter, and then proceeds to plow that whole pile right into our driveway! And there was absolutely no reason to do it. What a maroon. :madman: So if you're the snow-plow guy in the south end of town...yeah, I'm talkin' to you!
March 8, 200818 yr Cabin fever is killing me. I'm going to have to get out and go somewhere -- if I can get out of my driveway. I'll have to look around the garage and see what I can modify into a snowshovel. :lol:

March 8, 200818 yr OK, the driveway is clear, but now where can I go? My guess is that maybe by Monday, a Boone County plow will make it's way down our street. Now understand, I am not complaining at all, as those drivers do an outstanding job for us citizens of Boone. I am going out on a ledge here and predicting, that the list will be mighty long of schools not opening on Monday in NKy!
March 8, 200818 yr Does anyone near the NKU campus know if a pizza place is open? I heard that almost all were closed but not sure if any decided to open. The reason why I ask is because the cafeteria here is closed due to the campus being on Spring Break andwhere I live (the University Suites), we don't have a stove to cook anything and with not having a way to go to Krogers (if they are even open), I have no food here. A pizza wouldbe awesome right about now!!! Any info would be great. THANKS!!!
