I've heard the same as you. But labs always knows more than I do when it comes to the inner workings of the UK sports department. Labs, care to fill us in on why you think UK is still in the running?

Sure, everything with Hopson is on hold, as per the wishes of the family until the season ends. Some coaches are abiding by their wishes, some are not.

 

UK will go full bore when his season ends.

They have a lot of ground to make up because UT has been there for a while.

Gillispie said he will not recruit a kid that has committed to another school unless their is a public announcement by the kid otherwise. You had that with Hopson a few weeks ago, and UK then started their recruitment and family contact.

 

MSU and UC have shots at Hopson but long shots.

Hopson will be wise to wait...who knows if Pearl will be at UT next year.

 

Recruiting gurus for Scout and Rivals are not going to get the best info on this recruitment because the family is tight-lipped and not actually divulging all information.

I was thinking about the same things that post #49 hit on. Was all the stuff that happened, public announcement, decommiting, etc., something to read into or just a wild coincidence?????

Don't be fooled. His mom is still setting up and having contact with coaches. It's far from against her wishes...
