February 18, 200818 yr http://www.bluegrasspreps.com/showthread.php?t=144625 Congrats to Mr. Reality who was the only one to pick Stacy Andrews. For your guess, you win nothing but the glory to know that you were right and we were wrong.:thumb: Little known fact here, in addition to being right, Mr. R called me and rubbed it in my face. He thinks he is all that and a bag of chips now.
February 19, 200818 yr Then wouldn't Steinbeck have been a better choice to franchise last year instead of Justin Smith?
February 19, 200818 yr Author Then wouldn't Steinbeck have been a better choice to franchise last year instead of Justin Smith? No because he was a G that got elite T money long term...
February 19, 200818 yr Considering we all know the value of offensive lineman in this league and that Carson can't do anything if he is being sacked 10 times a day, I will say it's a good move.
February 19, 200818 yr I think Stacey Andrews has the potential to become a pro bowler and will eventually replace Willie... And I think that if we don't tag him or throw some cash at him Philly will be rewarded for the staff's work with Stacey because I think he really wants to play next to his brother...
February 19, 200818 yr Good move, he is versatile on the line and Big Willie is near the end. I'm just glad we aren't paying Smith anymore. He is well in to the back half of his career and #'s are dropping.
February 19, 200818 yr My first thought was WHAT but I think the Bengals realize they can't afford to watch their OLine fall apart even more. He might not be the ideal franchise tag but I can see why they did it. I'm pretty sure the Bengals have the most money in the league under the cap. I think they have to get in the "win now" mentality and bring in some difference making free agents. If not they might as well deal everybody but Carson and rebuild. I think they regressed last year.
