February 13, 200818 yr Wasn't there another report entered that disputed that? Don't know. I was just going off something I read in an ESPN blog. I didn't see anything in that blog about a rebuttal to this report, but doesn't mean it didn't occur.
February 13, 200818 yr So Clemens was upset that McNamee gave his wife an HGH shot without his knowledge in 2005 - but apparently not so upset that he continued using him as his personal trainer up until May 2007? Sure.

Right after the guy who cited the other doctors' testimony, another panel member introduced a conflicting doctor's view .
February 13, 200818 yr Chairman Waxman seems to already have his mind made up on the issue, and definitely seems to favor McNamee on this. Now I really don't know how something like this works, however I would think that someone who is a chairman can't show like favoritism or just whatever, and then go out of his way to apologize to someone like he did for McNamee.

Waxman did seem biased. Not once, but throughout.
February 13, 200818 yr .....and the chairman apologized to McNamee for the tough questions.:confused::confused: Give me a break, what was he expecting?
February 13, 200818 yr Sweet ending in Clemens getting gaveled down at the end. No way the chairman should be apologizing to anybody for anything. McNamee seemed very smug. Maybe its the New Yorker thing, but I dont know how you could like the guy with the way he acted. Roger is pretty long winded. I dont know if it is him trying to dance around things, giving them less opportunity to ask more questions, or just the way Roger is. I think the older lady made an interesting point in showing the pictures and pointing out that Clemens looks the same size throughout all of the pictures. Roger's head looks the same size which has been a point of contention in the Bonds accusations. In all honestly it was a little more entertaining than I expected. I regret not getting to watch it all, but the close to 3 hours I watched were entertaining.
February 13, 200818 yr I can not believe the money spent by our Gov. on this type thing. Insulting!!!

I'm not on top of this situation, but they're not saying Clemens was/is a long time user of the stuff like Bonds. They're just talking about a few shots here and there. Right?
February 13, 200818 yr I can not believe the money spent by our Gov. on this type thing. Insulting!!! I think it is dumb. I mean there should be nothing that comes about from this. I mean it is pretty much impossible to prove that someone is lying or not, it would all just be opinions. So unless they can prove 100% that someone is lying, then you can't do anything about it in this case. This is just very stupid for our Government to be spending this much time on this. I mean we know steroids was a big problem in baseball, and now we have taken steps to make sure that it stops. I mean there is a big penalty in place now for people who do take them. So there is no reason to keep digging in the past, and using government money on stuff that you can't completely prove unless the person just admits to it.
