February 13, 200818 yr McNamee's a clown. He's telling us that he's credible because he was a police officer. Yeah, all credible police officers are up against federal charges. Clemens may very well be guilty but no one is at fault for your actions but you McNamee...CLOWN! I would agree that McNamee should be given no extra credibility because he was a police officer 15+ years ago, however, do not automatically dismiss someone's credibility simply because they are under charges. Trust me, I'm in that line of work. When you are investigating a crime, you frequently need to interview and deal with people who have criminal backgrounds and who are involved in very type of thing you are investigating. It would be wonderful if the witnesses for every crime law enforcement investigates were priests, nuns, and other pillars of society, but that just ain't the way it works. In order to get dirt on a "dirty" person, you sometimes have to wallow in the mud with other dirty people. Yep, McNamee broke the law by giving illegal injections, but who else would have better information than he about who, what, when, where, and why he gave these injections? Clemens received HGH/steroid injections and apparently so did his wife. Pettite corroborated McNamee's claim that he (Pettite) used them - which no one would have believed a month ago - and was now supported McNamee's story that he injected Clemens. McNamee is telling the truth (IMO). I wonder what Clemens would do if he were asked to take a polygraph? Clemens and Rose - two self-absorbed, arrogant, idiots whose inability to tell the truth and admit a mistake will overshadow their legitimate HOF careers.
