February 13, 200818 yr I hope no one has a question for Charles Scheeler, they'll have to wake him up to get a response. I'm not sure why he is even there.
February 13, 200818 yr What does Rose have to do with this? You don't see a parallel between two guys caught up in investigations that greatly impunes their reputation and possibly their ability to enter the HOF and that, despite pretty substantial evidence that they are guilty of what they are accused of, are too arrogant to admit their mistake? Well, I take that back. Rose did, albeit some 15 years too late, and without a shred of any real remorse.

I thought he was only there for the comedic effect of making funny faces while watching Clemen's squirm.
February 13, 200818 yr Since I don't have the ability to watch this proceeding live, can someone enlighten me as to the lie that McNamee was caught in???
February 13, 200818 yr Since I don't have the ability to watch this proceeding live, can someone enlighten me as to the lie that McNamee was caught in??? Too many to explain. He said about 7 or 8 times in a row that he had lied.
February 13, 200818 yr Is that the guy in the middle? I thought he was only there for the comedic effect of making funny faces while watching Clemen's squirm. Yes, from what I could find out, he is a partner in George Mitchell's law firm. Not sure why they would call him in as a witness if they don't have any questions for him. I swear I think I saw him working a Sudoku earlier.
February 13, 200818 yr Since I don't have the ability to watch this proceeding live, can someone enlighten me as to the lie that McNamee was caught in??? It was the many, many lies he told in the beginning that he's currently "righting". They kept asking why they should believe him now, after he lied to everyone about all of this in the past. Same questions, different answers.
February 13, 200818 yr Too many to explain. He said about 7 or 8 times in a row that he had lied. Lied about a matter specifically involving Clemens and did this lie occur during his prior deposition? I would have to admit that's a pretty big deal if that occurred, though I'd love to know what the specific lies he told were.
February 13, 200818 yr I'm sure the transcripts will be out soon. I'll find it and highlight it for you...

People that are breaking the law will sometimes  do that early on in an investigation as they are making their best effort to keep themselves from being implicated. Frankly, I'd be disappointed if someone I was investigating didn't at least initially offer up some line of b.s. to save their butt. Once you've got them jammed pretty hard into a corner is when some ugly truths tend to come out. I can't wait to read the transcript to know exactly what lies he told and, probably more importantly, at what point in the process he told these lies.
February 13, 200818 yr These guys are very good at wording things so they don't actually commit to anything.

February 13, 200818 yr I find it interesting that the Democrats, for the most part have been going after Clemens while the Republicans have mostly been hammering McNamee.
February 13, 200818 yr Is it too much to ask for the members of the committee be able to pronounce names correctly?
