Come get mine...if you feel froggy!!! LOL.

All firearms should be registered and test-fired for ballistics matching. Persons convicted of a crime with a firearm and certain other violent crimes should be prohibited from owning or carrying a firearm. All other adults should have unrestricted access to most firearms, including automatic weapons.

Can a mod add these options to a poll? Thanks.

I own a gun/guns and support gun ownership.

I have operated a firearm, and believe that gun ownership is fine.

I have operated a firearm, but for reasons I will explain to the forum, I think gun ownership should be illegal.

Other/I don't care/I'll Explain

Law abiding citizens have the right to own one. Simple as that.

Could not agree more!:ylsuper:

Law abiding citizens have the right to own one. Simple as that.

Now I agree with you as long as the bold is VERY important :thumb:

but I do agree with the earlier poster about ballistics matching and careful registration. I don't want guns in planes, busses, schools and churches either.

All firearms should be registered and test-fired for ballistics matching. All other adults should have unrestricted access to most firearms, including automatic weapons.

My thoughts exactly. There should ne a national database for the ballistic imprint of each gun.

I picked other, and here is my explanation:

I have never fired a gun, let alone owned one. However, I do believe that if you choose to do so you should have the right to own a gun.

All firearms should be registered and test-fired for ballistics matching. Persons convicted of a crime with a firearm and certain other violent crimes should be prohibited from owning or carrying a firearm. All other adults should have unrestricted access to most firearms, including automatic weapons.

Agreed, except for the part about automatic weapons.

The only time I've fired a weapon was during my time in the military. I won't allow a gun in my home, but if someone wants to own a gun I feel that is their right.

I as well picked other, as I do not believe there were enough choices in this poll.

We have guns in this house, always have, so I support gun ownership.

But I do believe we need a little more control over guns, such as what HHSDAD stated in saying that All firearms should be registered and test-fired for ballistics matching. I am not sure about the automatic weapons though.

I also don't think that anyone can just walk into a pawn shop or a gun show and just get a gun right then and there without a short waiting period, and without a background check.

I think that a lot of gun owners, NOT ALL, really should be required to take some safety courses, especially if they have kids in the house as well, we hear too many times about a kid who gets their parents gun and plays with it and accidentally injures or kills someone, or themselves.

All firearms should be registered and test-fired for ballistics matching. Persons convicted of a crime with a firearm and certain other violent crimes should be prohibited from owning or carrying a firearm. All other adults should have unrestricted access to most firearms, including automatic weapons.

I agree 100%

You can get automatic weapons legally now if you have the cash, $4g's - $50g's.....

Gun control means using both hands for better aim.

You can have my gun when you pry it from my cold dead fingers.

And my favorite: When guns are outlawed only outlaws will have guns.

I am firmly for private ownership of weapons and firmly against any form of gun registration or ballistic imprinting.
