This just in from another thread..... "It's all luck". So I guess T just needs to keep being lucky and things will work out for the best.

Oh no it isn't! You forgot "numbers." ;)

Hence, we are the Shamrocks! Frankly, I think that's the primary source of our success. :p

It's amazing how lucky you get when you prepare and work hard.

ABSOLUTELY...it could not be anything other than luck since these State Championship things are so freakishly rare. Wish it was August.

Trinity's freshmen class had some talent, but they finished with a losing record. The classes ahead of them now, current sophmores and juniors, maybe lost a game or two as freshmen. What do you mean by "play varsity" next year? If you mean get in at the end games when the outcome is no longer in doubt I agree. But if you mean start for varsity or see significant action when the game is on the line I'd question that. Beyond Nix and Bishop I didn't see any kids quite ready to take spots from juniors or seniors.

I suppose this should be interpreted as fewer than normal will not come out as sophomores. I just hope all the injuries are healing and those with other issues are taking care of business. That group, when combined with those ahead of them and those expected to come in this fall should be just fine.

I agree. This past freshman class was talented. Their record was not reflective of how talented they were. Missed PAT's played a big hand in several (at least 3)of their losses. I understand injuries were a big factor as well. I would expect this to be a typical Rock sophmore class that has one or two kids see significant varsity playing time and another handful seeing the field as 2nd or 3rd teamers.

and stay healthy

Now X lost because they had injuries.

Was that why Glasier opted to go for it 4th and goal from the 1 in the 3rd quarter?

Was that why Glasier opted for a play action pass 2nd and goal in OT when Duece Finch was averaging about 6 yards a carry for the game?

I'm willing to bet that Trinity's trainer would chuckle if you suggested that Trinity went through the season unscathed.

If injuries are the reason then one team did a much better job of overcoming them.

Full schedule? Anyone?

Are you referring to game schedule or players individual schedules?

By the way, I understand Big Frank Longley will be a member of the football team again in 2008-09!

Full game schedule. I didn't see it anywhere in this thread.
