Being from Newport and all you would think I'd be a big Pompilio's guy but Im not much for that place. There's a place in Cincy I went to once called Ferrari's Little Italy and Bakery that was very good.

 

It's been a long time since I ate at Pompilio's - do they still have all the Rain Man stuff? The food was average but the price was right.

 

Any place else in Cincy that someone can recommend - we're there quite a bit; and while we love Karlo's I'm always willing to try someplace else.

My sister-in-law's family has held a fund raiser for the Leukemia Society Team in Training every April at Carrabba's for about the past five year's. The food is not only great, these server's come in and work for tip's only on this day. Great place to go. (and yes - we leave a great tip).

I used to like it but we had a Christmas party that started there one night. About 8 people got sick including me. It's not fun puking garlic! I haven't been able to go back since!

Might need to take one of my "watergirl's" to eat there!

I like the sister chain to this its Bravos i think there better.Im not a big fan of Pompilio's but there prices are cheap.

Or try going to the Macaroni Grill on Houston Rd. across from Hooters. They whip up some great food and have an authentic italian environment.

 

I am a fan of the Penne Rustica from Macaroni Grill as well. Does anyone know if they closed the one in Lexington beside Wal-Mart on Nicholasville Rd? When I drove by there last it looked like the signage wasnt still there but I didnt get a very good look. If they did close, did they move anywhere else in Lexington? It wasnt a prime location right there, so hopefully they just moved somewhere. I like to have a little Penne Rustica once a month or so.

Lasagna is the first item on the menu.

 

Come to think of it perhaps I'm thinking of Carlo's over off of Houston.

I went there once for my birthday 2 years ago and it was good. Haven't made it back since tho.

I'm a fan of Sorrento's , but i will have to check out Carrabba's.

There was a place in Louisville that wasnt terribly far from UL's campus that I ate at a few years ago that I thought was quite good. The name escapes me right now, but if someone said it I would know it.

That's got to be the one and only Come Back Inn, absolutely fabulous.

I used to stop at the West Knoxville location back when I lived in E. Tennessee, mostly because I knew they had Shiner Bock on tap. Found the food reasonably good for a chain restaurant.

Unfortunately, they did close the Macaroni Grill at the corner of Nicholasville Rd and Man O War. Not sure what their plans are on relocating.

I dont believe that is what it was unless they changed the name. The menu does look quite good and that will be something I might need to try out on my next trip to Louisville.
