April 15, 200818 yr Does anyone have any info on the free for all at Midamerica this weekend between Elliott County and a Louisville team, 4th grade boys. I understand it was all adults and started over a jump ball about 4-5 minutes into the game. Lots of fans involved, I hear it got crazy. They had no security people present and it took a while to restore order. I hear they played the rest of the game with the bleachers empty. That is amazing, Im with AFI on this one man. Grow up and look in the mirror.

Be a role model for your kid!! :madman::madman::madman: Too many times the parents attitudes reflect that of the coaches! I've seen it in to many games where the coaches assanine actions incite the parents to behave the same way!:irked:

Those poor kids will be traumatized for life. If you think they will forget that incident, you are sadly mistaken. That will be with them for life and how disapointing to watch your parents duking it out during your youth game. I would be ashamed if my parents acted that way.

Per AAU rules, the total number of teams in both D1 and D2 determine the automatic qualifiers. So, since there are 20 teams (4 in D1 and 16 in D2) in 13U, all 4 D1 teams get bids and 7 D2 teams can get bids. Seems like a lot, of course, but at $625 a bid, the AAU will take as many teams as they can get. Having said all that, outside of the national tournament played in Lexington, I have never seen more than 3 teams entered from KY in any of the AAU national events we have played.

The Thunder has gone to the national tournament every year since 9U and my son still talks about The Milk House at Disney, where we played when he was 9. And, that was our worst national tournament (went 0-4). In my opinion (when playing outside Lexington), the national tournament is priceless!

The National Tournament is definitely worth the price of admission. Nothing compares for your kids and even yourself whether it be D1 or D2. At this age, there is no other experience like it!!!

I was only asking which 5 they would start. Some times we see some younger kids and sometimes we see what I believe is their best five. I also didn't know if any of the boys were too old. Yes there is a certain team in Kenton County that has been thrown for a loop. I'm still not sure what kids will be dressed when we make that trip down there this weekend but if we can get the kids to keep their intensity up for the WHOLE game, we will be fine. (whole would be in caps incase any of those kids read this) :lol::lol:
