July 9, 200818 yr Anybody playing in the Hoops "Thrill in the Ville" national championship? Georgetown Thunder is last years "Thrill in the Ville" National Champions. I doubt they will try to defend their title. The 13U D1 Nationals may well have been their final games together. I know a lot of kids hugged each other and had teary eyes after their last game realizing they may never play together again. It was a very emotional sight to see.
July 9, 200818 yr Southern Ky Elite 5th grade team finished runner up in the USSSA national tournament in Ft wayne. :dancingpa Congratulations. They were defeated by the Lebron James backed King of the Court from Cleveland, OH. The team cosisted of players from Somerset, Clinton Co. and one from Bowling Green. I look forward to seeing these kids compete this winter in 6th grade middle school. Somerset and Clinton Co. 6th grade teams should be very strong next year!
July 9, 200818 yr Thrill in the Ville- Albany Bulldogs will be playing in the 12/u and 9/u. Maybe the 11/u also if we can get our game schedule adjusted to accomodate the 5th graders who start on both teams. Edited July 9, 200818 yr by southernkyhoops add

July 10, 200818 yr Head Coach Steve Page moved and took a job in Durham NC in January. He has been either flying or driving back most weekends that the Thunder played this season. A huge sacrifice on his part and just shows you how good of a person he is. A lot of AAU coaches catch alot of flack on this website that is stereotyped. Assistant Coach Rob Portwood was running the practices during the week. Most of the Georgetown kids will play for Coach Mattingly and Scott Co next summer. While the other kids will most probably be with their respective school teams. However there will be a few kids looking for a new team to keep playing AAU ball.
July 13, 200818 yr NK Tarheels won by 11 in the 1st day of pool play. CK Warriors won by 31. Both KY teams are 2-0 now. Keep it going boys!!
