June 25, 200818 yr 13U Division 1 Pool Play Schedules: Georgetown Thunder vs Wisconsin Playground Elite Mon 6/30/08 10:00 AM vs Cincinnati Knights Tue 7/1/08 11:25 AM vs Southwestern AllNet Wed 7/2/08 3:40 PM The Thunder has its work cut out for them beginning Monday. They have lost to the Knights 3 times by a combined 11 points and the Playground Elite beat the Knights by a bunch in their only meeting this year. Plus, the Thunder has lost recent addition Tyson Williams to a broken foot, which occurred in practice last Friday. And, believe me, no excuses are being made. 13U D1 is competitive enough without excuses. The Thunder has enough weapons (a new one may replace Williams for nationals) to make it happen on a good day. I wish all KY teams playing nationals nothing but the best.
June 25, 200818 yr Hurricanes are struggling heading into Memphis as well. Lost the leading rebounder, not making the trip. Leading scorer has bruised ribs from high school summer games, and best all around player rolled his ankle yesterday right before the dead period. I'll blame all of this on HOOPDR.

June 26, 200818 yr Good luck to all the Kentucky, teams it's been a fun year In 13 Under AAU basketball. Rainman, how is Qin and Portwood? I notice the didn't play much in your last game Saturday. I heard they were both banged up a little. I know their 2 very strong and important players for your team. I hope their both back to good health by nationals. Good luck!!!

After Tyson broke his foot Friday, a little limp on anybody Saturday forced that kid to the bench. Quin tweaked his ankle in the second half of our first game and played little in the 4th quarter. He said he was fine in the second game and didn't limp through warmups, but 2 minutes in, limped up the court so he was taken out of the game because that game wasn't important. Portwood was sat out the second half because he had general soreness, but he played later in the day for the 6th grade Warriors and is fine. Besides Tyson, we should be intact come Monday (knock on wood as we do practice tonight).
June 29, 200818 yr Shane Hall at Johnson Central SHOULD BE on the list for 2014. He is an excellent player with incredible upside. I would think he has to be the best player from Eastern Kentucky( regions 13-16) in the class of 2014 at this point. Colby Langford at Clinton County would also deserve some consideration as well as Tyler Thacker at Rowan County. The Johnson kid from LTMS is also a very talented player.

Shane has grown alot this summer. I was really impressed with Tyler Thacker also. Also we will not be playing in Nationals. The kids have just way to much to do. Baseball, middle school basketball and camp.

Two that should definately be on the 2014 list are Jordan Green from Sayre (Cent. Ky Warriors) and Mustafa Diaw Royal Springs (Cent. Ky Warriors).:confused:
June 30, 200818 yr Green, yes on potential, but i wouldn't put him ahead of the others based on performance.... at least what I have seen. Diaw is definitely one of the best. Also, if shane Hall has grown alot this summer I can't imagine how big he is? 6'2"? Hall is probably the best unknown player in the state. Can't believe some of the big time AAU clubs haven't picked him up. He can play almost anywhere on the floor. There are a couple of kids that play for the NKY Wolfpack that also deserve consideration in the 2014 rankings.

June 30, 200818 yr G-Town Thunder lost 72-60 in the 1st game. I heard The Ville won by 4 in their game. Memphis Coach John Calipari gave a nice speech to the "playstation generation" last night at the opening ceremonies.
