April 12, 200818 yr Wow, 6 kids taller than your biggest kid which I am assuming is Portwood at this point or STrong. :scared: Glad to hear Mason played well, you all are very fortunate to have two leftys in those guard slots. It was like Deja Vue last night watching Monroe play against the Warriors and the Knights. It was like watching the finals of the KY- IN Allstar game. He could get to the hole and finish or knock down the three pointer whenever he wanted. Monroe had 20 points in the 1st half against the Warriors last night. I believe he finished with around 25 for the game. The Thunder big men Strong and Gaines were not available this weekend. Portwood played two excellent games also for the Thunder last night. I thought Diaw and Grundy played very well also!
April 13, 200818 yr Thunder rolls tonight by 43 against West Virginia team. Balanced attack throughout the roster tonight. They were led by Richardson with 15 and Diaw and Grundy chipped in 10 apiece. They advance to the final eight in bracket play. They will either play OBC or The Family out of Michigan tomorrow at 2:00. I expect it will be OBC. Black10 do you have a scouting report on OBC? I know you guys played and beat them in the Titans tournament in Texas.
April 13, 200818 yr how did the Wolfpack do so far this weekend? 13U Wolfpack are 3-0 so far in the Bearcat Classic. They beat COSA (Cleveland), Central Ohio Blazers and Shining Stars. Quarterfinals are at 9:00 Sunday morning.

Short bench and inconsistant shooting was their biggist weakness when we played them in Dallas, TX. Their well coached and play hard D all over the floor. Will play Zone to get the team rest. I think the Thunder, should match up well with them. Their guards are small they have two good bigmen. Good luck,

I havent heard of this kid on the Thunder before. Is he from the Central KY Blaze and a year younger?

April 13, 200818 yr I dont get this, why are all the KY boys playing for Ohio Basketball Club? One OH player, they should call this the KY/WV basketball club. 15/Under Team: Jeff Allen 6'4 Morgantown (HS) WV. Todd Mayo 6'4 South Point (HS) OH. Austin Flannery 6'3 Burlington (Boone County)KY. Josh Sewell 6'6 Louisville (Trinity) KY. Chris Richards 6'3 Louisville (Southern)KY. Clay Coleman 6'1 Walton (Ryle) KY. Dakota Eucton 6'8 Ashland (Rose Hill Christian)KY. Both of the rosters you have here for OBC are last year's, so the 13U is now 14U. The 15U team is mainly the old KY Patriots. They just got OBC sponsorship (i.e. Adidas) and actually played in the KY state tournament under the OBC name. By the way, I know this is on another thread, but 3 of the kids on the 15U listed above are the potential transfers into Scott County. To answer your question above regarding Grundy ..... He has joined the Thunder this weekend and will continue to play with us. He has played with the Central KY Warriors for years. The Thunder and Warriors are registered as the same club with the AAU. The Thunder definitely has its hands full today with OBC, but this is the type of game you want to play to prepare yourself for next weekend's state tournament. The Thunder still won't have Gaines and Strong, but Gover is expected to play today.

Is he from the Central KY Blaze and a year younger? I was thinking the same thing about the team from WV. I talked to one of their parents and they travelled 4.5 hours. They had one really good kid that reportedly had 30 of their 40 in a 25-point loss to the Cincinnati Knights in pool play earlier yesterday. I don't know his exact stat line, but the Thunder got him in foul trouble by attacking him and blocking out and he might have scored 10, but that may be generous.
April 14, 200818 yr Wolfpack ran into a very strong team from Knoxville today. See you this weekend at state.
April 14, 200818 yr What are your predictions for the 13U State? I know I am biased but I pick Wolfpack for D2 and an upset of the G'Town Thunder for D1. It will be a great weekend of AAU basketball. See you there! Are the pools out yet?
