Sterling) Blake Sanders - South Laurel Paul Jones -- Lexington, I think Leestown Middle Braxton McFarland and I am hearing possibly Larry Morton (who played up with The Ville last year) may be on the new team in Lexington called Hoop Dreams. McFarland, though, has supposedly been advised to take a couple of weeks off after middle school due to injuries. If the Hoop Dreams team does indeed come together, they will have some good players and could be a factor. Thanks, sounds like a very fine group on both sides. I am curious to hear if that Lexington team forms, what will they do for guards? I saw Hicks play with Shelby West in the State Middle School tourney and he was a stud. G-town has plenty of depth at the guard position with Richardson/Monroe/Gover/Page/Crisp. Should be some battles, looking forward to watching.
March 26, 200818 yr In reference to some of the Ville, players 1st names. David Levitch, home schooled, and Tyler Wesley, Shelby East. I agree... if the Hoop Dreams, team come to fruition McFarland and Morton, will make them very competitive. You, can't under estimate the Rising Star, they always give the Ville, a close game. The 13 under state will be a barn burner and worth the price of admission. And, I heard the Rising Stars added Cameron Lewis, who was the Tarheels best post player last year. The Thunder played the Rising Stars 5 times in about a months time in December and January, but we haven't seen them since. I agree, though, they will be a factor.
March 26, 200818 yr Hoop Dreams is already playing in the 9/u-12/u age groups. I look for them to have a good 13/u and 14/u team very soon. They opporate out of the KBA and the guy running it, Mike Scott, played at EKU. He is a very nice guy and the organization is growing weekly.
March 27, 200818 yr Rainman, were is the G Men, playing this weekend. The Thunder is off until April 11-13. Spring break is next week in Scott County and we have about 1/3 of the team going somewhere and another 1/3 playing baseball this weekend. We are playing in the Cincy Knights tourney April 11-13, 13U state April 18-20 and 14U D2 the next weekend after that.

March 31, 200818 yr 13U Wolfpack had a good weekend at BCI bringing home a championship. They went 1-1 on Saturday (missing some key players) beating Breathitt County and losing to the Cincy All Stars by 2 in OT. On Sunday, they beat Fleming County, NKY Flash and then the All-Stars by 7 in the final. Nate McGovney and Travis Pavy played great games on Sunday. Kudos to the Cincy All-Stars, they are a very talented squad. The Wolfpack have also added a new guard, Rez, who is very strong. I believe he is from Holmes. Any word on if there will be enough teams for a seperate D1 13U tourney?

Watched teams play at Hoops, this weekend and the reffing was bad. :eek: Way to many inconsistencies in the reffing. Inconsistencies in reffing can dictate the out come of a game. I'm not saying, they met to call bad the just were very inconsistent in their calls.

April 1, 200818 yr I seen some great games this weekend at the BCI. Derek Smith's U16 and U17 teams both looked very solid. Believe or not the reffing this weekend was very good as well. The reffing was great??? The 17 and under won by 3 over a team that had 7 players (really 6 counting the one injured) and had to play an 11am and then again at 12 noon with rest. They did look solid though.
