I would really like to see the 6A Championships. Only because it, in my mind could be a really good game. Any chance you can get ahold of a tape of that Don Weber? I will accept a bootleg copy. I just want to see that game and can't go!

I talked to Don Weber at the NKU women's basketball games tonight and he said that they will have the three games on tape delay in which NKY schools play. He also said that they would try to get some of the other games on at a later time but couldn't guarantee anything but that he would try.

 

Hope this clarifies anything for the rest of my fellow brethren up here in NKY that want to watch the games but can't go to PJCS.

Because of health reasons I won't be making the trip to the finals so if any one could make me a copy of each game I would owe you big time.

 

I can send you new tapes to make up for the ones you use and repay the postage also.

What about on radio in NKY? My daughter is out of school sick, I wont be able to go....I gotta at least listen! Anyone have any information on Radio or internet listening?

It absolutely blows my mind that the KHSAA hasn't worked out some kind of media deal to have all 6 games produced and broadcast live all over the state of KY. There are thousands of fans all over the state that might find it a little hard to travel to Louisville, in December (weather), on a weekday. That's poor.

 

Not to compare (but I am going to), but Ohio televises all 6 championship games LIVE on television every year and then has the producer make the games available for purchase on VHS/DVD within a week after the finals. KY needs to step up and get with the times. For fans to beg and search everywhere trying to find where they are being televised is a joke.

 

So let me understand. As a resident of NKY, there is no way I will be able to see the X/T game unless I get in my car and drive to Louisville, correct?

They are afraid that if the games are on live TV, no one will go to see it, costing the KHSAA money from the gate, and all the sales that happen inside the stadium.

It's kind of looking that way. But I'm hoping that Insight will recognize how many high school sports fans they have among their customers here in NKY. Hopefully, they will realize that it would be a wise business decision to feature all six games up here.
