They are afraid that if the games are on live TV, no one will go to see it, costing the KHSAA money from the gate, and all the sales that happen inside the stadium.

That's crap.

 

If you have a product, and you want to market it, you get it exposed to as many people as possible. If you want to convince me, a NKYer, to travel to Louisville to see these games, then I need to know they are worth going to. I am not a good example because I am an Ohio transplant but I honestly just don't believe the football down here is as good as it is north of the river.

 

After following along with the Beechwood/LCA game, I think it may not be as "good", but it certainly can't get anymore exciting.

 

The bottom-line is that if people are tied to the programs playing in the games, they will go. Plain and simple. If they aren't, they probably won't. The only fringe people that are not associated with one of the teams playing that "might" go live in and immediately around the Louisville area. No one from NKY or Lexington or Owensboro or the mountains (eastern KY) is going to travel all the way to the 'ville to see these games.

 

The KHSAA seems behind the times on this. :irked:

Insight is already way off on the game schedule. The game on now started at 9:00, not 10:30 like was in the paper. I sure wish I knew for sure what time the T/X game was starting.Does anyone else have know?
