So do you think 8 state champions, 8 teams with kids to have good memories for the rest of their life would be better? Just how much more do we have to water down the playoffs to make everyone happy. Again its always going to be the usual suspects no matter how many classes we have.

I'm not looking to draw a Capt. Obvious sign here, but the 6 class system was implemented to help out the gripes of those against the private school system.

 

Nothing in the biggest class changed and I'm glad. Not that I am a big fan of the private school advantages, but while trying to be the optimist I think Trinity and St. X's domination of the big schools is a positive in KY High School football. They're playing at a level that I know is unattainable to some smaller schools, but there are many schools that will benefit greatly from "striving to be up to par".

 

Why complain about how good they are when you can work to get better. Trinity and St. X are a motivational tool to all football teams in KY, imo.

I notice the tight games between Central/Tilghman and Metcalf/Ft. Campbell are off your radar. Plus I think the BG game was closer than expected.

The last two years of the 4 class system had very few exceptions as well...

I get to watch 2 more high school football games this year than I did last year to top off the season...that sounds like a winner to me.

The negative impact is that no matter how many classes you have the same old programs will be in PJS every year. St. X, Trinity, Highlands, Belfry, NCC and Beechwood will always be considered favorites and more than likely make their way to the carpet.

 

I couldn't agree more, same usual suspects, it's just watered down more with the extra classes.
