November 14, 200916 yr That's the first time I've heard it explained. :thumb: Me too....now that's a good one.
November 16, 200916 yr We took my daughter on a college visit there a few weeks ago. She really liked the track/cross country coach - seems like he really knows his stuff. Pretty country. We stopped off at Green River Lake between Columbia and Campbellsville and took some pictures. Ate supper at a restaurant in C'ville, I want to say it was called Creekside or something like that. Big buffet and the price was right. Been there on a few business trips... it is good! My son was entering the U.S. Naval Academy and at first wanted to be a fixed wing fighter pilot. I thought of Silver Streaker to to honor his quest. He graduated last year and selected Marines as his service selection and chose rotors as his choice for flight school. Now silver streaker represents my hair color on the sides... but not the top! Ha..
November 16, 200916 yr I was a coach for Rose Hill girls basketball and softball. Lady Royals Coach Walter I always thought it was: Loves Rocking Crocs to Work
November 16, 200916 yr paNDA===Father of a daughter who attended Notre Dame Academy and the dog was up for auction at one of NDA's fund raisers. My daughter had to have it. The daughter is now off to college and the dog sleeps by my feet every night. Still not sure which one eats more!
November 16, 200916 yr I had to have a name when I signed up and my son was playing football for Lynn Camp, so DADDY CAT just seemed to fit. (Plus I had a HUGE tomcat by this name when I was a kid.) Also, when I registered, I think I had the capslock on, hence the total capitalization....
June 22, 201016 yr Cov Cath and Dixie Heights have long had a debate over which color the "Real Colonels" are. Most of the Cov Cath folks refer to the Dixie Colonels as either the "Red Colonels" or more frequently the "Little Colonels" - and I'm pretty sure both of those nicknames get turned around and aimed back at the Cov Cath Colonels by the Dixie faithful. Regardless, Colonels DO wear blue...particularly in Park Hills.

June 22, 201016 yr Double entendre sort of. Blue Magic because I love UK and went to Cov Cath, but also Blue Magic because of Jay-Z's hit and also Denzel's role as Frank Lucas in American Gangster was awesome so it has a lot of meanings.
June 23, 201016 yr Mine has a few things involed. I'm currently enrolled at U of L and the 51 is the number I wore in high school. My avatar is of the reds, because I grew up in the Cincinnati area.
