Brooks to retire?

Featured Replies

I wonder if UK might go to more of a WVU look next year with Pulley+Locke? That would be pretty scary! I haven't heard that anywhere but thought it might be interesting!

QB, RB, WRs TE, all gone. Don't look too good.

I'd say Locke will do quite nicely next year.

Does anyone have a link on this?

While I don't have a link, I have heard it a few times today. I believed it so much I didn't post it... ;)

He's losing everything from this team...I would leave if I were him.

How many coaches stay untill all of theyir good players graduate, then quit leaving the program in pieces. Not many. He would look bad if he did that. I think he has more pride than that.

We've already ot A&M's old B-Ball coach. Their football coach is available now.

Chris Landry from Fox Sports Radio said he has heard Brooks may step down.

I thought I heard on more than one occasion yesterday that Texas A&M was considering Brooks.

He may retire, but I think there's zero chance he goes somewhere else.

He'll be at UK or nowhere, IMO.

I think this is a good getting-off point for Rich.

Yeah Derrick Locke, and Dickie Lyons Jr. return.

Kentucky will be more than fine at RB with Locke, Dixon and Smith returning.

Kentucky: Sources are saying that Brooks may indeed retire after the presumed bowl game and they attempt to finally make a big run at the likes of Mike Leach, Chris Hatcher, or one of these 3 innovative coaches in Sean Payton, Lane Kiffin, or Scott Linehan

I really hope Brooks doesn't retire if we are thinking about getting either of the first two guys. I don't want to be part of Air Raid Round 2. And I see no connection with any of the current NFL coaches listed, Linehan was the O coordinator with UL back in the John L days but that is as close as it gets.

If we are forced to look for a new coach I believe we have to find someone who knows how to win and recruit in the SEC.
