It's a shame that apparently the fans, and some of the posters here, can't show as much respect for the opposing side as the players do.

Whats that suppose to mean? There's evidence that supports the case that there is little love loss between the two!

Come on guys, let's keep this respectable here. The HHS-CCH rivalry is probably the second best in the entire state... let's not dishonor how great these two programs are by playing games like who has the most classless fans, etc.

 

And one other thing... for those people who go to these games (and I don't care which team you are "supporting") and yell profanity at other fans/players/mascots/coaches, you really need to do society a favor and get the heck out of the stadium and spend your remaining Friday nights playing online poker or something, because they have NO BUSINESS being around high school kids. And get sterilized while you're at it (i.e. we don't want you breeding).

Agree. Top two class programs in the state. We should all support our players, the coaches and fans by showing due respect. I am already looking toward next year's contest!

The Bluebird mascot was walking, if Birds walk, from the HHS facilities to the student cheering section. As the Bluebird was making this long journey in this outfit, a Covington Catholic supporter shouted out an insult to the Bluebird mascot. The Bluebird mascot, after the insult, went back to the facilites, took off the costume and returned back to the two grown-ups that yelled at him and said, " I am the one you insulted! You want to call me that now?"

 

Now 99.9% of the time, the Bluebird mascot is a HHS female student. Not this time. The mascot was a rabid Bluebird fan that has a daughter in the senior class, goes 6' 1",weighs close to 225. He is a very proud construction worker. I don't think the adults replied back to the ex-mascot and I do not think they will be yelling profanities at the Bluebird mascot in the future...The moral to the story... you can't judge a book by its cover?

 

I thought the moral was "you can't judge a Bird by its feathers" or was it "a Bird in the end zone is worth a 2 point conversion" or how about OK OK I'll stop! Geez, y'all said I had no morals....just trying to prove ya' wrong!:banana:

I believe he's a JR....we'll see more of him for sure!! And I believe some of the bigger lineman are also returning!

Isler will be the number three starting CovCath pitcher behind Neihaus, and Nutini, and start at first base when not pitching... BTW Isler will be a member of the Varsity Basketball team too..... Pretty good athletic to say the least, to be able to letter in the three major sports at CovCath and he will be around for another year as he is only a Junior....

Great Athelete. Thank God he didnt have to punt the ball immediately after he took that shot from Luke Stein last night. Fortunately for him the 3rd qtr ran out and allowed him to identify himself. If he would have had to immediately punt the ball there very well could have been another safety or even that elusive touchdown for the running clock. WOW! there was a little bit of hitting going on out there. Great team effort HIGHLANDS.
