At 1st when he came in with the winning attitude and fire and brimstone, I like many others believed that somehow the Bengals had finally made a good choice and this guy was going to get them to the promised land. After what, 4+ years we have gotten to know much more about Lewis and I just don't think he is capable of being the kind leader an NFL team needs to be highly successful. I do think he is better than the past 4 or 5 coaches before him, but thats not really saying a whole lot.

Intentional grounding will not be called when a passer, while out of the pocket and facing an imminent loss of yardage, throws a pass that lands at or beyond the line of scrimmage, even if no offensive player(s) have a realistic chance to catch the ball (including if the ball lands out of bounds over the sideline or end line). nfl.com If that play wasn't grounding, I don't know what is. Not like it would have mattered really, but it was definitely grounding.

I be honest, I think if would have even kept Dick Lebeau as coach, that we would have started to win. I mean I pretty sure he would have drafted Palmer. We had Dillon, Rudi, Chad, TJ, and Warrick on offense. Also also Lebeau is the one who brought Bob Bratkowski in. So have to assume the offense was going to be good. And well the defense was actually BETTER under Lebeau than it has been under Marvin...The only thing that really changed when Marvin took over, was that Mike Brown let him be the voice of the team... This is a crazy question, but does anyone think that we actually at this time might have been a better team than we are now if Lebeau was still the coach? I starting to think we might have been, because I think our defense would be better. We certaintly wouldn't be worst than we are now IMO...

I mean anytime the cameras are on them on the field or the sidelines they are all just smiling having a great time. You would think that a defense that is getting killed every week would be mad . I know today with like 3 minutes left in the game, they should Joseph and Jackson on the field and they were smiling and laughing about something...Our offense you see a bunch of really mad, serious guys, but our defense which sucks you always see people smiling and not seeming like they care...
October 29, 200718 yr :flame: Cincinnati Bengals' 2007 season is a train wreck. Today's display vs. Pittsburgh is the microcosm of hope, promise and opportunity gone bad. If history can repeat itself, the 1990's seem to be happening again in Bengal-land. Sorry, Coach Lewis. It starts with you and your staff. You just blew your team up Sunday. Good luck getting them to play for you.

I've noticed the same every week. And it's usually always the DBs. As for the Holmes catch, it shouldn't have even mattered. The play clock hit zero before they even snapped the ball, unless there's some delay between what is show on the screen and the actual play clock on the field. One of their biggest problems today was not getting off the field on 3rd down.
