One of the potential theories of Torre saying no to the Yankees was that the players will start leaving. They listed several players that could opt out and of course Pettite and Clemens was on the list.

 

If Pettite, however he ends up leaving, decides to not be a Yankee next year, should the Reds make a run out him? Could he be a 2-3 year fillin for the Reds?

That would be nice. 15-9 record last season and he had over 140 K's. 17 game winner in 2005 with Houston. He would help us out a lot. Harang, Bronson, Homer, and Pettite and try to add some other good pitchers in their.

They could go after him but I don't see Pettite going to the Reds. They would have to overpay to get him in Cincy.
