They could go after him but I don't see Pettite going to the Reds. They would have to overpay to get him in Cincy.

Heck no. He wasn't that strong in the NL when he was in Houston -- and already vastly overpaid. The only positive that would come from signing Pettite would be that Clemens usually follows Andy for his mid-season signings. :D

Speaking of money for arms, the Reds need to go ahead and get Dr. James Andrews on retainer for the season with Dusty as their manager.....

 

Nice!! I laughed out loud when I read that.

Why not. Gives them 4 decent starts, with Livingston/Shearn/Belisle battling for the 3rd starting postition. I say if he leaves and Rivera leaves, go after at least one of them, and go after them hard. Makes them INSTANT contenders with Rivera.
