Tough call. Holmes has the speed to beat CovCath. But CovCath has the tradition to win. I think CovCath is going to try and play smash mouth football with Holmes and use the power game to try and keep Holmes O on the bench for long stretches of time and try and wear down the Holmes linemen. I can be a wrong as anyone, but I don't see CovCath being successful in the air against Holmes. I think we'll see a steady diet of Furnish or Buckley (if he's back) running between the tackles.

 

I think CovCath will win the game unless CovCath turns the ball over a lot or Holmes special teams score two touchdowns.

Oldguy I love your idea and approach but I've just GOT to upset your Apple Cart. That is definitely not the same field you guys played on (I know, I was around back then) in the "bad old days" of CovCath football. This is the new Holmes stadium. Okay, so the owners have made some upgrades :thumb: but it will still be the same field to me, and watching the Colonels play there Friday night, will bring back a flood of great memories to me, of those days oh so long ago.....

I have not heard anything definite. I did hear that early prognosis says its not a serious injury.

He's a qb if needed. Trust me. It sounds like the starting qb gets 99% of the snaps in practice anyway.
