The playoff implications make me dizzy but who wins in the battle of Covington (even though one school isn't in the city).

Will the injuries be too much for CovCath to overcome?

Which Holmes team shows up to this one? Good dog or bad dog?

Thoughts?

If good dog shows up against Cov Cath it could mean dog house for the men from Park Hills... and a treat for the dogs from Covington! :D

Holmes has a real chance of pulling the upset of the week - especially considering the injury bug that is hampering the return of the Colonels.

If Cov Cath loses, they need a Dixie win to stay alive.

If Holmes loses, they need a Scott win to stay alive.

I know they're banged up and probably reeling right now, but I think CCH has to be a pretty big favorite in this game. Also, as a HHS fan I sure hope that CCH doesn't finish 4th, since that would mean a first round HHS-CCH rematch (CCH, and particularly CCH's defense, scares me).

You worry way too much my friend. I'd rather play CovCath than anyone. I like beating them and if we can't beat them, we have no business saying we are the best.

These young Colonels need a history lesson and Theoldguy is about to give them one!

Don't look at the Holmes game as being a game being played on the road, as just 40 short years ago, when CovCath was just starting to play football, our Home Field was indeed the Holmes Field! Just think how far from those humble beginning of selling the World Greatest Chocolate Bars, to playing our first game at the Holmes Field and how glad we were just in getting the chance to play Football CovCath has come, and you are very much a part of that history. CovCath has had some great moments on that field: Our first home game, our first home victory, and beating HHS for the first time ever, including that "With a spirit, that will not die" attitude, at least in football, that all started on that field you will play on Friday Night. So my young Colonels when you get ready to play this week's game think about all the oldguys like myself who will be rooting you on from the stands, and thinking about how just 40 short years ago we were on that same field playing just like you. While the equipment is better, and the uniforms certainly look much better, both then and now, CovCath was/is the team we were playing for. So win this game for yourself, the school, and your fans, but score one TD for us Oldguys.........
